She has 2x 2 GB ram. not sure if she tested both though. Another thing is when she plays Aion/WoW and in a very populated area or something. thats one of the ways it shuts itself. Maybe the CPU stressing? hmm.

It started yesterday when her friend installed some stuff along with 4 GB of Ram. She said it was working fine when she installed the Ram.

Hey guys, well one day I was playing WAR then got a call from my cousin and she didnt like the fact her computer was shutting down instantly at random times. I told her to check her connections and stuff, everything seemed fine, she lives on the other side of the island, and too much a hassle for me to check it. But her computer instantly turns itself off randomly, sometimes on bootup (power button pressed) and randomly when shes playing WoW or other games/applications. Told her to try removing 1 Ram stick, still persisted. I got her a ATI 5770, she has a 650 W PSU. comp specs below

650 W PSU

Duo Core 2.0 GHz

EVGA 750i Non FTW MB

300 GB WD Hard drive

ATI 5770 Videcard

CD/DVD Drive

Windows 7 Ultimate

told her to try and check if the house outlets were surging or causing it, couldnt be because everything in the house was fine. My conclusion was that the power supply is either failing or isnt enough.

For the price, id say good deal for a netbook. I guess W XP lowered its value since everything is going W7 now. But still a decent deal.

Unless your doing heavy stuff like rendering, server hosting and whatnot, its not ideal for gaming. There are only a handful of games atm that are written that uses multiple cores, mostly Quads.
