All I want for Christmas is a dictatorship

(Note: Don't forget to vote in the TV.com Class of 2005 Superlatives. Polls close Thursday, November 17) The Mega Millions Jackpot is up to $310 million. My grandma (Mema), my aunt Tricia, and my mom all chipped in 2 dollars to buy six tickets, and if one of them wins they'll all split the money evenly. The thing about my family and lottery tickets is that every time we buy them we become 100% positive we're going to win. I don't know why, but we do. It's always a bit disappointing when we don't. Do you ever buy lottery tickets? I'd like to talk about the only thing I've asked for for Christmas: Civilization IV. I am a huge civ fan and Civilization III is my favorite game of all time. There is no other game I've played before that so totally immerses you in the experience. I've spent 16 hours straight playing Civ III (:o) because it's just so hard to turn away from! In case you don't know what it is, "Civilization" is a game series that started in the early 90s, and in the game you control a country (civilization) and handle all of it's affairs: the military, the economy, the diplomacy, the government. You can even make yourself dictator. It's a great power trip. :) Anyways, I'm hoping to get the newest edition, Civ 4, which apparently let's you found religions, take over cities with culture alone, and trade music, for Christmas. And if I do, I won't be back here for another month or so. Have you ever heard of Civilization? What's your favorite video game? My profile has started to feel chaotic. The blog doesn't flow anymore, there are all sorts of different colors, There's the new banner (which, by the way isn't permanent. It's just going to stay there until I feel a bit better about my loss)... it just doesn't feel right anymore. I guess that's the obsessive compulsive (The OC) part of me talking. I'm going to start putting serious effort into making my blogs aesthetically pleasing, instead of this mixed up mess. Even though the polls are not closed, I've begun tallying votes for the superlatives and I'm pretty positive I know who's going to win. :) I'm happy with the results except two people are going to win twice, which I didn't want to happen. You know what I just noticed? That button over there that says "My Mod Queue." I was like "What's that?" So I opened it in a new tab and low and behold, people editors have powers now. I didn't think they did. So there are quite a few submissions in there that have sat un-moderated for some time. I'm not going to do the blue box until I get some submissions approved. Have a great day, guys. :)
