Dr. Phil

(Note: Don't forget to vote in the TV.com Class of 2005 Superlatives. Polls close tommorow, Thursday, November 17, at midnight) I have just a little time before Lost to make my daily blog entry. I've put it off for a while because I've had serious blogger's block. So I'll just talk a little while about my conflicted relationship with Dr. Phil. When the Dr. Phil bonanza began a couple of years ago, I couldn't stand him. He was going around trying to impose his views on everybody, and the overexposure started to get to me. Besides the fact that I've had a pretty bad relationship with psychologists in the past. So I never watched the Dr. Phil show. In fact, I boycotted it. Whenever it came on in this house, I left the room. But when I was sick a couple of weeks ago, I was too tired to leave the room. I just lied on the couch saying "no... please no..." in a very faint voice. Needless to say, my cries went unheard. So I watched the Dr. Phil show. It was one about a wife who was spending too much of her husband's money. About halfway through it occured to me: "Dr. Phil is really smart!" It turns out that I totally agreed with his excellent advice for this couple. Not only that, but he was a little bit funny. So from then on my opposition to the Dr. Phil show steadily decreased. I started to stay in the room whenever it came on; It's actually become a daily fix for me. It's only today that I realized, "I really like the Dr. Phil show. Imagine that..." :) So that's my conflicted relationship with Dr. Phil. What are your feelings about Dr. Phil? We have only one day of voting left, and turnout has increased a lot over the past few days. :) If you haven't voted already, please get your votes in. The results will come out on Friday, and everyone should have their award by Monday. I think a couple of people will get two. ;) Hope you guys had a great day today. Sorry I haven't been around, I've been at my grandma's house. Stay safe, and see you tomorrow.
