@killman961 @jimbothef @cytheh I would like to see that, but it would mean your off-line character would not be transferrable to on-line mode. They would have to be completely separated which I would be alright with that.

@S4E @Mightyyoda1 You still didn't respond to anything I said. You can have the opinion that RMAH ruined the game for you. I agree with you that they made a lot of other mistakes with D3, storyline and talent tree being among the biggest. So regarding educating the ignorant, please explain how I have no clue what I am talking about? You can dislike the reasons to which you are entitled, but it doesn't make my comments about the reasons for the RMAH any less true.

The best alternative they could have done in that regard is an off-line only mode with LAN enabled that could be separated from online play and the RMAH. I would have wished they added that, but looks like that won't be the case.

@neroist @Mightyyoda1 I would like to see that article and their actual breakdown of revenue and expenditures. I would be money that it isn't correct.

@S4E I like how no one has really refuted my statement, but have just called me a fanboy. I mentioned how I disliked the online only aspect of SC2 and no LAN play. SC2 did not need to be online only other than for piracy reasons. I am not sure what you are talking about regarding returns etc... One of my friends was not happy with the game and got a full refund 20 days after playing it. He beat the freaking game and they gave him a refund. It's not about defending Blizzard, its about trying to educate you idiots that sometimes there is a reason why companies do the things they do. Blizzard made a lot of mistakes with D3, the RMAH was not one of them.

@jimbothef @Mightyyoda1 Oh it's about money for sure. They are a company and their purpose is to make money before anything else. However, I don't think people realize how much customer service costs companies and if you can reduce something like account compromises by a huge amount, you would be stupid not to do it. In the end, they are making money from the AH, but more-so by reducing their expenses than from the cut they get.

@_el_Greco_ @Mightyyoda1 This is the real world, you don't get to have your cake and eat it too. Would you rather Blizzard be like a lot of companies and just not care if your account gets hacked? It's not hard to understand how a supported AH reduces account's being hacked. DRM is often sleazy and the need for StarCraft 2 being online only was dubious at best, but the AH has a purpose. The only thing I wish D3 had was an offline mode that didn't sync with the servers and allowed LAN play.

The no PVP announced yet is a major concern for me and if we hear nothing at Blizzcon, consider it a no-show for the expansion. However, people's complaints about the AH are silly. Yes they need to redo loot so actually looting things yourself feels more epic, but the AH is there for a reason. It's not so Blizzard can make money off it, it's so Blizzard can bleed less money paying for all the support required to deal with idiots who get their accounts hacked buying money/items on 3rd party sites. We can only blame ourselves for the real money auction house existing.
