I also can't understand this, I understand the prices are going up because of the dollar but this was never the case with the ps2. I refuse to buy anything at 69.99 as i had a hard enough time justifying a 59.99 price tag, Im by no means broke and can afford the 69.99 but Ill simply be boycotting all stores as long as this lasts. Online and used locally can be great ways to get games at 40 and below nowadays so using an electronic store like best buy or futureshop you're being lazy, you're paying for convenience if you could phrase it like that. Its strange that when the canadian dollar was 1.25 the american everything was the same price for months. As many fellow canadians know, that was the prime time to buy online and import from the US (aka boosting sales bigtime), I had friends who went to the US to buy cars for like 2/3 the price they were here, it was disgusting how bad our own screw us. Now the minute it goes the other way they flip on us, fine, I just won't shop at either retailer.
I understand other countries pay more but I'm talking on relative terms, a 15% increase in price would be significant for all of you as well, we've always payed relatively more than the US but this is too far. Its akin to the snes/n64 days where games could be like 90$ which is prob why I don't have many brand new games for either of those systems, used games galore in my collection...its time gamers make a statement.
