Mostly nostalgia for me…. But I won’t break the bank for that , depends on the price and I pick and choose which retro games and consoles to get.

1996 ish… got Pokémon Blue and a Gameboy classic for Christmas. Hooked ever since. N64 next and on and on :)

Sadly World of Warcraft... hated it at first as I was playing Guild Wars... then I got sucked into it somehow...

From what I've seen of it... doesn't seem to be what us core Pokemon fans want out of a first switch game. Maybe fans of Pokemon Go! OR younger audiences... Hmm.

I may be in the minority, but I say start with HG/SS. 2nd Gen just has this nice vibe and the remake of gold and silver is a great starting point for any new player in my opinion.

I agree with topic creator. Things are getting way out of hand. I've spent way too much money on remasters of games and they just didn't have the same feeling as they once had.
