I have read so many posts where people are saying "welcome to 2006, Nintendo" and "Looks like they're behind in graphics again!!!" etc etc. I want to point out that when Wii was first revealed at E3 it was called Revolution. Nintendo's only graphical demo was a very bland Metroid animation. Once the Wii itself was properly completed and revealed a year later it's graphics proved to be superior to what was shown in the Metroid animation. As it is, I understand that nothing is really "complete" at this current time with the Wii U in terms of showcasing some of the actual games. AMD has released this: http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/amd-nintendo-join-forces-creating-new-way-enjoy-console-gaming-entertainment-nyse-amd-1523972.htm This would indicate the Wii U utilises a MODERN DX11 GPU, which would make the Wii U 2 generations ahead than the current DX9 systems (PS3/360). I can only hope developers care to put the effort in to give us more than just "ports" of PS3/360 titles. There should be no reason the Wii U looks only mildly sharper than the current systems. It's likely, should the developer make the effort, that the Wii U will resemble a high end PC in terms of graphical clarity, when compared to the same versions of the game on PS3/360, since it is using a more modern GPU. All in good time we'll see what becomes of the final system. So please remain relaxed. As it stands, I reckon it was a decent E3 showing and didn't expect too much demo's or games considering it was only just confirmed a few months ago. Expect so much more to come...

To those who argue memory is cheap and that Wii 2 should have at least 2-4gb of ram is just mad. Why do you think laptops usually have lower spec than their bigger desktop brothers and cost significantly more? Consoles are compact and therefore must run cooler. You cannot simply throw in full size PC components. No comparison!

Consoles are NOT Desktop PC's. You ever wonder why laptops are more expensive, yet packed usually with lower specs than their desktop big bro's? Fact remains that you cannot just simply through in full size GPU cards and pc memory sticks. Use your head! Consoles are compact, so running cool is a vital requirement!!!

[QUOTE="Fried_Shrimp"]My argument is simply in my sig, and that's why 3DS will blow NGP away..Jolt_counter119

But on the NGP you get a high definition 5" OLED screen quality picture of boobs.

Now that's a point! But on 3DS you'll almost get to feel them! Haha.

Well, you're right. Nintendo fanboys can be just as bad, sometimes. I just hate when Xbox and Playstation fanboys slate Nintendo as being for kids and full of worthless gimmicks when, quite frankly, when it comes to them getting something similar in Kinnect and Playstation Move, they suddenly go on about how it's amazing and how they never had anything near as much fun with it on the "crappy" Wii. I guess I just can't be bothered with the inevitable... fanboys giving the 3DS a seriously hard time thanks to the BEAST PSP2 on the horizon. Remember the Dreamcast days when the PS2 was announced?... Even though it took years for the console to become good, the fanboys stood by it's side and left the other goodies to ROT. Ah well, no biggy, because I'll own both too, leave the community to it's own and that's where it stays. lol. What a gripe for a starting post, eh. Appologies.

Gotta say that despite the likelihood of the new PSP offering great features and sweet visuals, I don't think any typical Nintendo hater should pretend the 3DS is rubbish because some of the titles have bland looking visuals. Resident Evil Revelations kind of proves how good the 3DS' graphics can look and it's a launch game which is rendering in 3D, also. So I think it's fair BOTH systems are going to look pretty amazing! I'm more excited for the 3DS, but I do own a PSP, so will likely get the new one, too. This thread isn't important, but I do wish SONY fanboys would stop hating Nintendo's systems so much, because if the PSP2 was the 3DS, they've be going crazy over it, so stop hating and lets enjoy what we get from these 2 big players!
