Wish List For 08

2007 is the first year I've had a next generation consol and I was pretty pleased with the games I purchased, so the upcoming year is going to be hard to top. Here is my top 5 wishes for 2008:

1. Grand Theft Auto IV - Hopefully this game doesnt get delayed again and again like it always does

2. More Wii online games - Guitar Hero is the only one ive played so far that has online capabilities

3. Some how NHL 08 is out done by NHL 09 - Needs better online features/more in depth dynasty

4. Wii comes out with a hockey game - i just want to see what it would be like

5. Less F ups by my Xbox - ...stop crashing

Quality Control

I'm not too sure how blogs work since this is my first...so here it goes

I have been playing video games for quite some time now, begining with new as a tike and advancing as the games and graphics got better through out the years. With that said I have spent some time..a lot of time playing different systems and I like to think a know a little about them. Recently, mostly from working in retail, I have realized how companies are cutting cost in a lot of areas to turn a profit. The video game industry seems to be no exception as of late, cutting the costs in one area where it shouldn't be...the quality and durability of these systems.

I have only experienced this recently, starting with my old faithful PS2 that needed a lense or two replaced. Currently I own both an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii, which I have purchased in the past few months. I play the 360 more because its in my room and there are a lot more online features. With that said, I am coming up on my second replacement for my Xbox in 2 weeks. First there was a lense issue, now hardware. Its frustrating to think I have had this system as long as it has been in repairs. I know im not the only one with issues like this, the second menu when calling xbox support is dedicated to consol failure. Now I'm just thinking but, it seems like it costs more and creates more dishartened customers by having to repair devices constantly than by producing one that can withstand the abuse of putting a disc in its tray (what its supposed to do). The bottom line is that there needs to be more quality control when producing these systems...I know they can afford it.
