Yeah, the title is accurate. You aren't seeing things. I was actually less than a foot from death! Here's my tale.

As you may or may not know, I went on a trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan over the weekend. (Sunday to Tuesday) Mackinac is famous for 3 things: fudge, horses, and not having cars there. Yeah, it sounds like a safe enough place, but knowing my clumsiness it wasn't! I was riding my 1 speed rental bicycle through the island, which is hilly and filled with lots of trees. I was just coming around a corner when I saw that there were 2 horse and carriages about 100 feet in front of my mom and I. The first was in the middle of the road, and the secind was completely on our side. We both tried to slow, but we couldn't. We were already as far to the right as we could possibly be, but it wasn't eenough. I collided with the back of my mom's bike, went flying into the horse, the horse started freaking out, it almost stepped on my head, and the carriage ran straight over my chest! Its been almost 3 days now, and I'm already close to being recovered. I didn't have any major injuries, surprisingly enough. I have bruises and small cuts all over, a black eye, a pulled bicep, and a lot of road rash. I look like I got pushed out of a car after fighting Rocky!

Anyway, on a lighter note, i'm moving along to the battle of the boys.
