Sorry I Haven't Been Around

As you can guess - I've got a lot on with my GCSE's and the World Cup among other things, and Gamespot isn't exactly top of my prorities.

So if I haven't been on your Union or haven't commented on a Blog, then sorry - I'll try to make it up sometime soon.

However as far as gaming goes - I've rediscovered Stronghold and Driver. Both Classic games - which although have dated, are great fun to play still.

I've also managed to sample Sensable Soccer, World Cup 06 and Table Tennis in Town yesterday - beating my friends while we're making a couple movies.

Coming soon....

A Little Late, But....

It hardly seems a few weeks since it began, but the Football season has finished for me, Till the World Cup at least.

And being a Rotherham Fan It was definatly a season of highs and lows once again.

After conceding a poor goal in the last minute on the first day - Rotherham recovered and climbed the table. Playing great football at times highlighted in the 4-0 win over Blackpool

But things slipped after the defeat aginst Forest of all teams - and we went 19 games without a win. We were playing good - attractive football - but not scoring.

Mick Hartford was replaced by first team coach - Alan Knill, who aided by key players returning from injury helped to put our season back on track and pulled us out of the relegation zone.

Dispite the off the feild problems of liqudation the players played brilliantly. And overall I've got to be happy that the Club still exists.

And now we're staying in League One for another Year althoungh with a 10 point deduction next season due to the administration.

Key Players 2006

Lee Williamson -

Brought so much to the team with his presence and pace. Combined well with McLaren in the middle and was badly missed when he broke his nose.

I don't expect his to be with us next season - he was fantastic and will be snapped up on the Cheap by some bigger club.

Stephen Quinn -

Joining us on loan at the start of the year - he made a real difference and instantly became a fan favorate. Expect big things from him before long....

Colin Murdock -

Struggled at the start - but one he established himself with the defence he was emense. Having some fantastic games and always dominating in the air.

Shaun Barker -

A consistant proformer who always gives everything for the team, and has really progressed over the years I've been watching.

John Mullin -

His surging runs from midfeild caused the oppositions many problems and has always given his all for Rotherham.

Paul McLaren -

Probably because I'm the only one who apprecates his creative genius. Maccas played brillantly all season - dispite carrying injuries the whole way.

His spectacular and vital goals have really lifted the team.

I could write a lot more - but thats enough for now.

I've got to admit - Nobody in this League has really impressed me. Those who don't play the long ball just need an organised defence and a goalscorer to do well.

And you never know ten points isn't much of a headstart.....

Role on the Summer.

Cricket, Revison, Exams, then a long break for the World Cup.

:P

See ya Round

Matt

(Sorry Its so late, GS messed up at the time)

Lets Talk About Football...

First things First - Lets get one thing straight.

By football - I mean Football or Soccer for you American readers.

Anyway it's that time again.

Coming up to the early hours - I fell like writing another Blog. Although I've had a lot happen to me in my very breif life, and many adventures in the last few weeks - both good and bad. It's time I wrote something about football.

I can't explain why I like football - both playing and watching. It's something only a true fan can feel.

Alex Ferguson once said "Football. Bloody hell." And as a football fan you really get put through it. Pressure, fustration, anger, joy and dispare are just a few of the emotions you endure week in, week out. (And we pay for it?!

All it takes is a second.

Anyway, as many of you know the team I've followed all my life, through the extremes of several relegations and promotions (and battles) a cup win and a very close brush with liquidation.  My very own

 Rotherham United

aka the Millers (hence the windmill logo and name)

And I wouldn't change it for the world...

Well, thats all I have time for.

Hopefuly that will inspire me to do a few more blogs. All Football/Soccer fans should be sure to visit the Soccer Addicts Union, an amazing group of football fans.

Happy Easter and I'll see you round.

Matt

Evening All

Well its nearly two in the morning here - not sure why I've stayed up, I guess its just tradition. Beats sleep anyway.

Anyway, just been reading a few blogs and decided to write this one.

No reason really - just to show you all that I know it exists and that one day, in the future I will write something interesting in it...

Till then See ya Round
