you say its overrated and then underrate it even worse. its not like you are averageing gamespots score, you are just giving us 0 info of what you would actually score it. nice.

@gorehowl81: i agree with every criticism you make about the game! dont get me wrong id give it a 9, never a perfect game. but by your logic a game like shadow of the colossus or journey should be really crap games.

zelda does something different in a while, and while i loved horizon for its story and battle mechanics, everything else has been seen before and gets boring quite fast.

i completely accept that you dont like zelda (botw and the franchise) but deeming it crap and not appreciating its strength cause they are not your cup of tea is just plain wrong. eg i am bored shitless by the new star wars movies but i wouldnt call them overrated or bad. i understand their merits, just not my thing.

while ive always been a zelda fanboy, the only thing that i have to criticise about botw is that it doesnt have enough nostalgic moments (themed dungeons, music etc.)

its definitely one of the best open world games ever created for me. almost nobody owns a wii u and not many people can own a switch (due to limited supply) yet everywhere people are hating on it.
