At this point I agree. 'Facebook creeps me out' isn't a good business reason to cancel development. As an instinct, it could have prompted him to re-evaluate the situation, or shelved the project until he was sure.

But 'Facebook creeps me out' sounds like some fanboy thing, 'principles' my ass.

Notch does have principles, some of you retards probably forget that facebook works with the NSA to spy on your asses, so the whole "Facebook is creepy" is a legitimate excuse.

So? Anyone the US government wants to comply with them is practically bound by law to do so. And what does that have to do with the O R?

If there is a relevant state-side communications company, you can bet if the US government is interested, they will comply.

If that's it, he better GTFO now and stay away from tech. Security experts say if you want to avoid them, you may as well throw your computer and gadgets into the sea.

What do you mean so? like that isn't justification enough.

So if you don't mind being spied on that's an issue you have with your own self dignity, why are you questioning other peoples principles where you clearly don't even give a crap about your own?

Just cause the government does something, it doesn't mean it's always right or legal.

What does it have to do with O R? Spybook now owns it, who in their right mind would want a device in their house that could be used for potentially nefarious reasons? Zuckerberg once said that people that used his services were "dumb fucks". I don't use facebook because i'm not a dumb ****.

I didn't say it was right, but there's no escaping it.

And how will the governments interest in facebook communications effect O R? If people are so stupid they can't separate issues that's not my problem. The government are listening the any relevant communications they can, so what are you going to do huh? What EXACTLY are you going to do. If you're throwing a tantrum over this, I take it you don't have a cell phone either or an email address, and I'm guessing you do all your internet stuff in a net-cafe as well. I'm guessing the same can be said about this Notch guy.

This is a global issue, so you are really wasting your time by singling out Facebook with this shit and so is he. Facebook isn't the cause and they didn't really have a whole lot of choice.

Also I don't use facebook either.

There is no escaping it huh? Calling facebook creepy for what it does is surely a step, and reason enough to not support it. Government also listens to non relevant comunications so what are people going to do? Simple, if you respect your own privacy then don't support facebook and oculus, it's A step. Singling out facebook because the thread is about facebook. Facebook also did have a choice, they could have informed their users that they were being spied on but no, it took a single guy to tell everyone that. Facebook has no dignity, them along with google, microsoft and yahoo are definately a force to be listened to, but neither has done anything because people like you think there is no escaping so you keep your pants down and just accept the pounding, are you really that weak?

Fortunately there are many many dignified people who will not succumb to that kind of ass fuckery and challenge it because they choose to stand by good principles.

Good, are you done with your sanctimonious ramblings? Luckily for me, I don't use or give a **** about facebook or O R. You think 'voting with your wallet' is going to be the factor that changes anything? Do me a favour.

But you avoided my question by essentially repeating yourself. You going to 'vote' by throwing all your tech out the window? Because lets not go half measures here, you going to talk the the talk and go all the way with your protest, maintaining your almighty dignity? Because I don't really want to hear any boring shit like, 'I'm not going to use facebook', because as I said, it's going to take a shite side more than that,

As a matter of fact yeah, voting with your wallet in corporate America is the best thing to do to start a change, or are you oblivious to the businesses across the globe who refuse to deal with the US because of all the spying?

I avoid your questions because i'm not exactly on fucking trial here, but i'll bite either way, i use a phone specially to send dick pics, just the thought of some NSA scrub having to go through that crap pleasures me greatly.

Good luck trying to change the government. Didn't the senate decide to accept this behaviour last year or something? Usually it would be actual voting that would be the way forward, except the Republicans aren't exactly against it either from what I gather.

I'd imagine they were forced to accept it, any person within their right mind would not accept this kind of behaviour, but thats the thing about collecting peoples data, its usefull for blackmailing. So, we have a rogue agency working against the peoples interests, and oculus could be a part of it....because facebook.

I don't think you all understand what I'm talking about this is where the INDUSTRY MOVING Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, and MS is talking about embedded memory, fast cache, unified virtual memory, and wide bit bus, NO BRUTE FORCE but instead DATAFLOW or SUPERCOMPUTER everyone BUT SONY even engines from devs are talking about leaving the BRUTE FORCE METHOD how would sony change the PS4 to fit the NEW methods or what can they do?

I honestly don't think you know what you are talking about

It's actually quite simple. The industry is moving to AMD, NVIDIA's house because microsoft is inbeded with melody, who has a fast cache, unified with flurtious marmelade and a wide butt bus. NO BRUTE FORCE but instead DAT FLOW or SUPERCOMPUDAH everyone BUT SONY even engines from divs are talking about BRUTE FORCE METH how would sony change the PS4 to fit the NEW meth or what can they do? I blame melody.
