@Zero5000X You're lacking some perspective here. The Nintendo 64 was revolutionary because previously all game consoles were designed primarily with 2D graphics in mind; the N64 was the first specifically built for 3D graphics, and the N64's integration of a miniature thumb joystick was also unique for its time. Nowadays we take it for granted as not revolutionary, but back then it was a huge improvement over controls, particularly for 3D games. Same also goes with the NES. It was the first console to feature the D-pad controller design that became hugely popular in future generations.

@Ghosthunter54 FYI, Ocarina of Time was rated E for Everyone. Ratings are hardly an indicator of quality, and games can deal with more mature themes without having to pander to the ultra-violent, ultra-realism crowd. The Metroid games also have always dealt with darker and deeper themes, and Zelda as recently as Twilight Princess as well. Sorry, but I don't really see your argument. Also, "E for Everyone" means exactly that. FOR EVERYONE. Not necessarily kids. There are plenty of E-rated games that appeal to older generations. Hell, just recently Portal 2; not even developed by Nintendo.

I have to admit those screenshots are obviously made to look crappy. I know for certain that the Xbox graphics are nowhere near that grainy. I'm sure the Vista graphics are a little better, but there isn't as big of a contrast as they tried to make it appear with those shots. Anyway, I am very angry at Microsoft lately with all of their attempts to suck out every last penny from their customers. Instead of releasing a PC version of each Halo at the same time as the Xbox, they wait until everyone gives into the hype and gets the Xbox games first, then come out with a slightly improved PC version to make everyone rebuy it again. I can't stand these little market games they play.

"Models will also retain high levels of detail rather than degrade down to low-polygon versions at far distances." Thank you God! I'm one of those people that can get very irritated over little things like this. I hated how Bungie overdid the degrading polygons to increase framerate. It was way too noticeable and just to get the absolute best quality models of everything in the game you had to walk up to them and literally be no more than 2 feet away. It was just ridiculous. Knowing what I do know now about this game I might still consider buying the PC version. Games are almost always superior on PC because of graphics, controls, and customization, but I'm still a little pissed that they couldn't at the very least include a LAN Co-op option.

Hmm.. tough decisions. 1. World of Warcraft (PC) - Yeah, I'm starting to get a little bored of the game now, but all games eventually have to get boring, and WoW has had a good run with me. Though, if I get back into it, it will likely keep me busy on that island for hours on end. 2. Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (PC) - It's an old game that isn't quite as well known, but that multiplayer just never gets old. There's nothing more satisfying than jumping in a server and killing everyone in sight in which invokes the chat log to be spammed with the word "lamer!" by people who think it actually matters. 3. Final Fantasy VII (PS) - This was a great game, but every time I try to play through it fully for the second time I just can't seem to do it. I run out of time for it and end up forgeting about the game. Now that I just recently saw FF7:AC which hyped me up to play it again, and if I was stuck on some island, I would finally be able to experience this great RPG again. 4. StarCraft + Brood War Expansion (PC) - I need to have a little RTS in there, and this one to me is still undoubtably the best. 5. Halo 2 (XBOX) - I have to play at least ONE First Person Shooter if I'm going to be out in the middle of nowhere for a long time, so coupled with a great campaign (I know it could've been better, but it's still good) and online multiplayer, this makes an excellent choice for me.
