I disagree with this statement for the reason being I remember the days of the atari 2600 and intellivision consoles, when hardly anyone had PCs. I think console gaming would be fine without PC gaming, but I also don't think PC gaming will ever die.
well it was a diferent time, now days if pc gaming died, nvidia and ati(exemples) woudnt need or want to puch their chipsets very often, one because they would sell less(200million gpu's versus around 30million consoles sold) developers would be stuck at developing games on closed systems that dont have much freedom since it has to be aprooved by Microsoft/Sony before it can be released on their system, less games would come out, less developers would be able to afford developing their games(its much more expensive to develop a game for the ps3/360 then it is for the pc)
we would never see games like the witcher(from a really small developer) consoles graphics would evolvle slower(dont say you dont care, console gamers grab more about graphics then hermits ever did, hermits only grabed about crysis to stop all the FF13 and Gears graphical overhype, or at least most of them did, all sides have their fanboys)
consoles would get much more expensive, now that nvidia dosent get their money from pc users they would need to cash in from a diferent source, selling their GPU's for a more salty price for the console companys.
overall the side effects are many, and you might not agree with all my points, but pc gaming death would be very harmfull to console gaming as a whole

cod4, orange box and the wither sold farbetter then ut3 and crysis, also UT3 is not very popular on the eyes of the pc gamer right now, Crysis is too demanding meaning it should sell over a long period of time rather then on a couple of mounths, not to mention thats only the US sales, using 2 games to say that pc game is dieng(as many posters here did, not the tc) is pretty stupid.
not to mention that if PC gaming die, console gaming wont survive for much long

Ok you win.
RSX - 1.8 TFLOPS
XENOS 240 GFLOPS (0.24 TFLOPS)
And don't say FLOPS don't matter because they really do. FLOPS is used to measure the overall performance.
wow RSX is 2x more powerfull then the rumored Geforce 9800GTX?
you cant compare chips with diferent architetures like that.
