I've been talking with my friends about games and prices of the games. Lately (again) some of my friends have been asking me why I'm so "stupid" that I buy my games? "you can download every game for free" they say. Well my answer is always the same; I want to support game industry, I want proper copy of the game on my shelf, I don't wanna brake the law ect. Yes, I could put my money on something else but I prefer to do the right thing. My friends always give me excuses: "I don't have any money" (yes they have!), "Game developers are putting too high prices on crappy games so I will give them a lesson when I download their games for free", "Game developers / companies have too much money so they don't deserve my money", "game companies are evil so they must be punished" and many many more excuses.

If you don't wanna spend much money on games then just watch different kind of sales. Internet is probably the best way to search cheap games. Yes I spend sometimes 70e or more on games (usually special editions) but I always try to find cheap games which go under 20e. Lots of x360/PS3 games goes under 20e! They may not be AAA titles but still those games are great! Some games holds their prices for very long time but even AAA titles prices will go down. I'm not always that good on waiting, so sometimes I buy the game for 60-70e (pretty much normal price here on Finland) There is Gamestop here on Finland also but used games on Gamestop aren't much cheaper, they go usually on 50-60e. Exceptions are very old games and very bad games but usually those prices are over 20-30e. Other stores are pretty much the same. There are some exception. Like here where I live, I found gamestore which havesurprisinglygood prices. New games are usually 60-70e but used games goes very low or reasonable prices. I found couple ps3 games which was 10e (heavenly sword and couple other great titles which I can't remember at the moment)

You all know that piracy is very big problem not only in game industry but pretty much every thing you can imagine. (movies, music, games ect). I have been watching/listening parents of some children and of course the children and I'm shocked that parents teach the kids how to download games from the internet. I think that this is kind of scary. Kids learn at very early age to "cheat". Parents should teach the kids to work for their money. I did have to work for my money as a kid and then I did buy what I did want. Yes I have to admit that I have had pirated games but many many years I have bought so many games that I think I have repaid the game companies everything :P :D

It's not my business but I hope so :) Oh and if you know good internet sites where I could cheap games then I would appreciate if you could mention it here :) Remember that I live in Finland.
