I have never found drug use to be a major problem in the Grand Theft Auto series, and neither do most people. The controversies I hear about the most are about violence and sex. In Vice City, in order to unlock the Cherry Popper Ice Cream Factory asset, you had to make a certain number of drug deals in a row within a time limit. This part of this game never offended people. It was the indiscriminate killing that did. I've never done drugs and I hate them. This is not real though. You're not 'actually' dealing drugs when you play these games. If you are afraid that by playing a game with drugs in it, a person will consequently think they are cool and use them in real life, then the same could be said for the violence. It 's a game about thugs. The drug side quests in Grand Theft Auto are not hurting anyone, and if they offend you, don't play the games anymore.
