Why You Should Get It: It is clearly the most awaited game of 2008 and it did not disappoint anyone. The magnificent graphics and great story will keep you hooked on to this game for a while. It has greatest gameplay in the whole series with better than ever stealth mechanics. This game is Solid Snake at his best.

Grand Theft Auto IV

Why You Should Get It: The question is, "Why wouldn't you get it?". This game has all the elements of an instant ****c. It has a great storyline. One really cool thing about the storyline is that it has two different endings depending on which paths you take. It has the greatest online gameplay with the capability of playing with 16 players. Liberty City is bigger and better than ever, giving you more freedom to do what you want. Better controls, better graphics, better storyline, better online play, so why wouldn't you want to get.

Assassin's Creed

Why You Should Get It: Taking place in the time of the Templars, this game is known to be one of the best Historical Action Games yet. With a setting that is extremely realistic (very detailed) and outstanding gameplay, you could journey through the life of an assassin.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Why You Should Get It: The first one its series that doesn't take place during World War II, it is the known to be the greatest war game yet. With its tremendous multiplayer and gameplay, this game proved to capture fans. The game makes you want to keep playing day and night.

Resistance: Fall of Man

Why You Should Get It: It is one of the best first person shooters exclusive to the Playstation 3 and if you have a Playstation 3, you must have Resistance. It has a great multiplayer supporting up to 40 players online! The weapons are amazing.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2

Why You Should Get It: One of the best reasons is that the Tom Clancy games never failed to live up to expectation especially the Rainbow Six Series. With intense action sequences and beautiful stunning visuals, it makes you feel like you are actually in Sin City.

Warhawk

Why You Should Get It: It is purely amazing! It has stunning gameplay especialy for flight control. Great multiplayer action!

Heavenly Sword

Why You Should Get It: You, a heavenly sword, hundreds of soldiers, and a whole lot of fun. With excessive beat-em-up action, this game gives you a whole lot of time pass. The gameplay is very fun with an exciting storyline that you don't see so often.

Last year's first music/rhythm game was the third installment in the Guitar Hero series: Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock which turned out to be an instant hit and it was the first guitar hero game to come on the three platforms. But later Harmonix decided to raise the competition by making the new game Rock Band which turned out to be better than Guitar Hero and making it a bigger hit. Although, most people felt that Guitar Hero had better songs. Rock Band had better features and one of those features was having more instruments. Guitar Hero is trying to become in their next installment: Guitar Hero World Tour.

Guitar Hero World Tour

After seeing Rock Band have more instruments, Guitar Hero decided to do the same thing except get better. The game now has a new drum set and it has bass which is supposed to have six pads. Two of them being symbols which is more than the Rock Band. The drum set is also wireless, so those of you who had problems with the wires in Rock Band will feel happier. More features include creating your own character and even creating your own songs! Now that's definitely something no one expected. You can design your own faceplate with endless possibilities. Another thing is that you can change difficulty level in Career Mode without having to restart the whole thing. There also many other features, but Guitar Hero is planning on going this far, then Rock Band will just have to go even futher.

Rock Band 2

Now you can't expect Rock Band to just sit there and watch as Guitar Hero takes all the glory. Rock Band 2 decides to also improve on their last installment. There is a new World Tour mode and those of you who are tired of getting booed off stage everytime you mess up on a song, there is a new No Fail Mode in the Options menu which allows you go through the entire song even if you mess up. There are more options when creating a character. And there is also an improvement in the character selection menu where you don't accidently go back to the main menu because you keep pressing buttons. Another improvement is in the track selection screen. There is a lot more detail to the screen. You now have all the song details for every song in the screen. You got album artwork, the album details, and all that good old stuff. There is a new feature called Battle of the Bands which allows all the bands playing online compete to the top spot. There are improved instruments. There is a limited edition drum set which has 7 pads and there is still that same old drum kit from the last kit with velocity sensitive pads and they are less noisy. Although, the normal kit does not come with cymbols there are extension slots for them which you have to buy seperately. The old instruments from Rock Band still work in this game though. You can get a real life size guitar if you want. And of course there is the other normal one which has a less squishy strum bar and much quiet buttons. Although Rock Band 2 might not have the create your own song feature and a six pad drum kit, it does have a lot more features than Guitar Hero World Tour.

After the success of Marvel Ultimate Alliance which was known to be the best marvel game yet, Activision is making the sequel, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion which fixed most of the problems the first one had. After the release of the first one, many video gamers found problems like a confusing character management menu and practically no main menu. Now in the second one, the game creators fixed that problem. A huge problem with the first one is that the story was kind of boring. They wanted to fix this and they got most of their storylines from the comic books and the story is supposed to start off with something called the Secret War which is a five issue series. The storyline now includes terrorist threats and way more darker conflicts.

Another thing they have improved is the conversations between characters. In the first one, the interacting between two characters was kind of weird and abnormal. They have also made the environment more interactive. There will be way more destruction and more surroundings that can be damaged. There is also more detail for the characters. There are new moves and old moves. They kept the moves that most people liked and took out most of the other moves. The speciality of the this new game is the new fusion system which explains the title. The fusion system allows two characters to combine their powers to do a double team attack. There are over 200 combinations and there are over 20 characters. All these great improvements may make this another spectacular Marvel hit!

Playstation 3 managed to get two perfect games this year: GTA 4 and MGS 4. Making it have the top two games on all systems to be on the PS3. Resistance 2 has been announced and it has features that already have us thrilled. One of them being a feature that allows us to play 60 player online. It has two full campaigns and it had an awesome video game launch! It is also the sequel to one of Playstation 3's best games, Resistance: Fall of Man which pulled out a 8.6! I am personally a fan of Sony, so I want SCEA all the luck in the world with the release of this wonderful game.
