[QUOTE="MrAcula"][QUOTE="Spybot_9"]GS AU: So does that mean the games of today will be visually as good looking as we can expect to see for the next few years?
CY: For the next two to three years, for sure, yes. There will be some refinements here and there: We [are limited] by the PS3 and 360 hardware, but maybe on the PC we can scale some more. This will bridge the gap to some degree between current and next-gen on the PC without any new code. The possibilities we have are limited right now by the console generations.
How sad is that.Oh sure you would say that we dont care about graphics even though 40% of the threads at SW are about "console graphics king".:|
Seems like it's not the wii affecting hardcore gaming but the PS3/360 are the real culprits.
The only good thing about this is that anyone with an 8800 or better card wont need to upgrade for 2-3 years. But I am sure just like me most PC enthusiasts would rather upgrade and move on with the times. But damn consoles.:(

Hahaha!
This is not news though, it was evident since the begining of this console gen. Since a olddual-core and a 7900GT beats either console. I guess teh untapped potentials of PC (8x processing power or more) can atleast be used for more AA AF and higher resolutions aswell as mods that make graphic better.
Yea but sadly no new features :(.
How come?
Crysis and several other games are using features not done on consoles, graphically and for gameplay elements. Exclusive to PC and use in large quantities due to the perfomance overhead.
