A Golden Eye and A Dislocated Shoulder :\

Hey Everyone!

I hope everyones enjoying this new year, I'd love to hear how yours is. My year so far actually hasn't been that good at all :(

Before Christmas I injured my shoulder mowing a lawn for a neighbour and recently the specialist has told me this it's much worse than they thought, I have dislocation, torn muscles and tendons in my shoulder and most likely will require surgery. Which means I won't be able to work for quite a while or have proper use of my arm :(

I can still play games thank god, which is my past time and I have to stay home and recover :(, but these things happen and just gotta roll with it. My girlfriend bought me Goldeneye Wii a few days ago, and I beat it within those few days :P. But it was on the easiest difficulty so yeah haha.

I'll do a review in the near future, but I gotta say I had a blast with it! The controls were really weird at first, but I'm still getting the hang.

If any Wii players wanna have a game sometime, add my Wii number (which is located on my Gamespot profile), and I'll be happy to play, I suck but lol.

So yeah, I hope everyones safe and having a great year.

Take Care :)

Just wanted to wish you all......

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

...Oh wait that was last week :\

Haha, Happy New Years Everyone! Hope you all stay safe and have a great evening and day after!

Just wondering what everyone's doing on New Years Eve, or New Years Day?

Take Care!

Having a Wii feels good, especially when it's red!

Yep, I couldn't help myself!

My christmas money did well for me as first thing I did Boxing Day morning was head up to the store and grabbed myself a the Super Mario 25th Anniversary edition Wii (The Red One). Red is my favourite colour so it works out very well haha.

The pack contains the red wii with Wii Sports, red wii motion plus controller + nunchuck and also New Super Mario Bros. (a game which I've wanted for a loooooong time). The console also has the original NES Mario game built in, so awesome.

I also bought the 25th Anniversary Super Mario All-Stars game which I loved when I was younger and is a fantastic nostalgia trip, those old games still hold their own today. The guy at the store aaaalso gave me a free black wii controller with the built in motion plus which is so cool of him. Thanks guy!

And yeah, just been playing a lot of Wii Sport with my family (I'm getting pretty good at bowling which is my fav :P), and I've been looking at a new game to get.

Like I said, I mainly wanna get the games that require little motion haha.

I can't decide between Goldeneye Wii, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros Wii oooor Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Any help deciding would be fantastic!

Take Care all :)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Also...should I get a Wii?

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope you all are staying safe and having fun. I'd love to know what everyone got for pressies, especially games haha :P

This year there wasn't any games I REALLY wanted however I was considering buying a Nintendo Wii with the money I scored.

I don't reaaaally wanna Wii for the gimmicky motion games, wanting more the Marios and platformers, also really keen on the new Goldeneye.

Just wondering if a Wii (for games like these) is a wise investment?

Take Care and again, Merry Christmas!

Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money for Aussies question

Hey all,

I read that the first DLC for Fallout New Vegas was released in the States yesterday or today. I was just wondering if anyone know when it would be available on Xbox Live for Australian players? It doesn't seem to be up to download here yet.

Hope someone knows

Thanks heaps

Is back on Gamespot, Wondering what's been happening!?

Hey everyone

Wow it's seriously been like 6 months since my last post about playing Halo 3, and yeah just been so busy with work and stuff I've neglected Gamespot :(

But since it's the holidays I'll try and post more and talk to you guys more cause I really wanna keep in touch with members on this site, it's good fun.

First off I wanna know what everyone's been playing!? And how they are doing. Very important to me.

Me? Well I've been playing ALOT of Fallout New Vegas since it came out, and I dunno whether to do a review or a blog about it, let me know if anyone wants me to write one :) But yeah I've had good fun with it. So atm I am still playing NV for my second run through, trying to snag some more achievements :)

I'm also playing Fallout 3 at the same time, going back and forth between games is actually really fun, but is getting semi confusing lol

And yeah that's basically it, I may get Black Ops and update my live account after Christmas, but if I had to get a game atm, I would probably go for Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, looks very promising.

So feel free to comment and/or add me on Xbox Live (RobotFreshPies) and I have a mic now so I'm always up to chat.

Take care all and have a great holiday!

Halo 3

Hey guys, I couldn't help picking up Halo 3 brand new for 15 bucks today. I haven't played any other Halo before so this is all new to me, but thought I'd give it a go.

I'm really enthused on playing Campaign with another person, none of my friends play it anymore, so I'm looking for a partner :)

They Don't Make Em' Like They Used To: Star Wars The Phantom Menace.

Let's go back to 1999

Playstation and N64's were at an all time high, the simplicity of video games without network connections was in every gamer's mind and Xbox was unheard of (PS3 fanboys rejoyce :P). Video games were just as fun as today, and very very very simpler.

Now let's look at the terrible idea of the Star Wars prequels. When TPM (The Phantom Menace) hit cinemas I was amazed and stunned by how good it was (let's remember I was like 8 or 9) and I loved it. However George Lucus marked TPM on EVERYTHING! Drink bottles, small couches and even video games.

The first Star Wars video game I played were the ones on the SNES and they were so awesome and fun, however I did not have as big an interest in the triliogy as I did in Episode 1. So I was so excited when I read that there will be a PS1 game of TPM.

And you know what, it's my favourite Star Wars game. It's dangerously underrated. Now, this isn't a review, I could go on for hours, I just want to bring attention to something I have only recently realised. This game was G8+ (Aussie rating back then), and there was an ability within the game to commit mass murder within towns and even KILL CHILDREN. It was f-ing awesome! I loved going through Mos Espa just slaughtering everyone in my path, especially the little smart arse slave children.

But isn't simply amazing that this was an option within a game, let alone a game designed for children? And would this eeeeeeeever be able to happen today? Think about it, why doesn't GTA, Saint's Row, or even any FPS have children within the games? Because the ability to kill them would have the game banned everywhere on the spot. So how did Star Wars get away with it? Seriously! lol. How did it get away with the main character (good guy) being able to go up to an innocent slave child then slash his arse with a lightsaber? I think it's amazing lol.

Now, I'm not complaining or anything, this game and the ability to do these killing sprees gave me some of the best video game fun I've ever had. I would just like to know your opinions. So leave a comment and lemme know what you think.

Why 2010 has me on the edge of my seat for games.

Over the recent months, I haven't cared much for gaming due to time constraints and personal commitments, but now I've taken a break, a step back and getting back into the swing of things. That being, gaming for 2010. I have just realised there are so many things I am looking forward to this year, and I thought I'd just share some of them with you.

Here are some games I am really looking forward to this year:

UFC UNDISPUTED 2010 (Xbox 360)

To be perfectly honest, I never owned UFC Undisputed, I only played the demo, and some at a mates house. But I found it simply amazing. I have really been interested in UFC over the last year and really taken a shine to it, it's awesome! And the game version of it was stunning. The gameplay, graphics and sound was just supurb and I had a lot of fun with it. Now that 2010 is coming out (or already is out I'm not sure) with improvements, it looks to be a fantastic game, and one that I'm very much looking forward to this year. Also, Brock Lesnar is one of my fav athletes, and the cover of the game looks badass haha.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 4: EPISODE 1 (XBLA)

After being bashed, battered and bruised in every single way by ever single video game designer, Sonic is FINALLY ready to come back to basics after god knows how many years. Seriously, why has it taken SOOOOO long to realise that Sonic just doesn't belong in 3D??? I loved the original Sonic games when I was a kid, and had so much enjoyment when I played them. Everything from the spins even to Knuckle's gliding ability. Now this year we get to see Sonic the Hedgehog come to next gen with decency and proper structure. I have seen the leaked level video and it doesn't look too bad. Despite using the ever popular "2.5"D graphic, the game looks like what a Sonic game should have always been. Seriously, this game should be called Sonic 15 or something, there should never have been any 3D adaptations, (although I heard that one of the Dreamcast was alright). So yep, def gonna download this one, cannot wait to get back into what Sonic should have always been on the 360, while I'm waiting, I'll just play the Ultimate Collection on 360 :P

FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS (Xbox 360)

I love Fallout 3. I play it so much it's redonkulous. However, although I haven't searched every single part of the map, I have done all the quests, side quests, unmarked quests and DLC's I am aware of. But now Obsidian is getting back into it, and we have a new Fallout coming out this year! Unreal! I am glad that it's in the same format as FO3 because I really enjoyed that engine and play systems, but now, all the new mods that can be made, characters to be met, and places to be explored I just cannot wait for this game to come out. Though, I am not entirely familiar with the original FO games, I am looking forward to finding out what the NCR and such is. It's gonna probably be my priority game this year, and I just can't stress how much I am looking forward to this. Hopefully it's a bit less buggy and more in game things are tweaked, but if this game is better than FO3, then....wow.

Well that's it for now, if anyone has any game recommendations that are coming out on 360 this year, lemme know :)

Take Care All :)
