i just purchased cod4 for the pc . installed it and it moves at a turtles paced. my pc specs are

amd athlon 3800+ 64 dual core / 3gigs ram / 250gb hdd/ ati raedon express 200 series / emu 0404 soundcard (i used to use this machine soley for music production! i dont understand how it could run sonar7pe/flstudio7pe/ssl400plugs/cool edit pro2/ emulatorx2/ dimension pro ect... but cant run 1 game. the machine is optimized for best performance. does anyone know of anything that could possibly help? do i need to provide more info? thanks in advance! it took over an hour to complete the boat mission because it was runnng so slow. also the machine is defragged daily!

ps. on another note im kinda disappointed by the absence of xbox 360 controller supprot. i have one for the pc (works well with madden) but i was told by a gamestop employee(yesterday before my purchase) that the game "definitely" supported it. anything to get a sale huh!
