The Naruto Project

Naruto, one of the most well known manga/anime franchises in the modern world. Also a series with such a wealth of knowledge and popularity that if properly tapped into by the gaming industry could become a highly successful and possibily acclaimed project. Project Naruto a world were anythings possible and the path you walk is your choice intirely, will you climb the ranks of your chosen village to ascend to Kage?Or fight your way to the top of the ANBU or ROOT hierachy?Or simply become your villages top Jonin? In fact will you even remain in your village and opt for the path of the wanderer roaming the ninja world making a name for yourself?Of course there could be many other paths including the outer paths with the Project possessing no END screen the game would be your world formed and shaped by not only your decision but by forces outside of your grasp. How will you fight?Stealth lurking in the depths of the shadows playing with your preys psyche with fear until sweeping in with a single and final blow?Or a ninja tearing apart enemy ranks with shear speed, strength and masterful taijutsu?Would the path of ninjutsu better suit you ripping your opponents apart with all of the element vengenance?Or would you prefer a balance of the basic facets of combat? In the Naruto Project the choice is yours. This game is designed to finally do justice to the Naruto series which has had an uncountable amount of either weird foreign or lack luster western incarnations with Naruto Ninja Storm being the closest to decent in my opinion. However a shallow combat system,no online and geniunely boring forced village sequences killed what could of been an immersive, memorable tribute to the long running series. The Project unlike most other Naruto games would take the genre stance of RPG Sandbox Fighter with the RPG inciting the ability to customize your character to your preferences,Sandbox as in the huge untapped vastness of the ninja world and Fighter for the innovative combat system using 3 three dimension battlefields which allow the player to utilize cover, team co-ordination and individual ability in nin,gen and taijutsu to defeat your adversaries.

The year that was...

Wow 2010 was a pretty massive year in the world of gaming, with an abundance of brilliant games namely Mass Effect 2,Red Dead Redemption,Super Mario Galaxy,Starcraft 2 and Reach bungies final hurrah in the Halo universe. But outside of Bioware,Rockstar,Nintendo,Bungie and Blizzards supposed dominance there were many great games release this year from lower profile developers such as Super Meat Boy a critically acclaimed original adventure game and Borderlands a very good hardcore RPG that expanded its (*sigh*) borders with two good and a outstanding DLC. Personally for the topic of Game of the Year I'd be split between Mass Effect 2, Battlefield:Bad Company 2 and (dont kill me to bad) Super Street Fighter. 2010 also ushered in a new aspect to gaming. With the release of Playstation Move and Xboxs Kenetic Sony,Microsoft and Nintendo initiated the Motion wars which it is hard to say who would benefit the most from. 2011 is looking like a very strong year with the Mass Effect trilogies final installment(supposedly) coinsiding with the 2011 November release of the long awaited 5th Elder Scrolls:Skyrim. Also 2011 sees the release of EPICS Bulletstorm and possibily Gears of War 3 and Marvel vs Capcom 3. Well thats the basis of the year thats been and Ive missed quite a few good games. But nevermind thats my summary of the year Mr.Illustrate Signing off
