Here's my opinion: 2007 was THE best year in gaming history. Probably the best year to rival it was 1998 when MGS, Half-Life, and Starcraftc ame out. But, to be honest, there were so many games that were not only more innovative, but they were just damn good. Especially for shooters, which is by far my favorite type of games. First, you got Bioshock, which is simply one of the best games I've ever played. Then you got Halo 3, which not only broke the record for most sold games ever, but also has probably the funnest multiplayer in any game (and, for a change, it's easy to play). And finally the Orange Box. The Orange Box is just so damn cool. Not only is it the best deal in video game histroy, but it was by far the smartest game I've ever played. Of course, there were oh so many other video games such as CoD4, Super Mario Galaxy, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, andRock Band. By now, you probably assume I'm an Xbox 360 lover, and you're right. But that's besides the point. Anyway, the fact remains that 2007 was, hands down, the best damn year for a video game lover like myself. I'm just glad and honored that I was alive to embrace the greatness emanating from every single video game that came out. At least, every video game that was good.
