And what they forgot to mention was that games that have a great story give you a sense of epicness at certain points, and when you finish the game. I mean games with true epic moments are usually the ones with a great story.

@Rudorlf This kind of expands on my comment and Rudorlf's. Single Player is what video games used to, and should be all about. Multiplayer is supposed to be a fun add on to the game, not the entire focus of it. Few games can get this right. Halo got it right. Games SHOULD have more of a wow factor, any kind of improvement/experience that hasn't been done before and actually give gamers who really want that WOW factor a kind of satisfaction for buying and playing the games. Dead Space did this by using the strategic dismemberment and it's unique creepiness. What I want to see is a new video game company that could out do Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo, give them a run for their money. If a company like that would start it would give those three a a chance to rethink there ideas and change their development/software. They've only been competing with each other for the past 10-15 years, so they don't really have to rethink any counter strategies. But, the only reason no new companies come up is because of one reason: FEAR. It's every companies worst nightmare to have to reveal their new software when the 3 dominating caompanies are doing the same. I JUST WANT TO SEE A NEW, SUCCESSFUL GAMING CONSOLE/COMPANY.

Look, what i think is wrong with the industry is that every company is trying to just re-use ideas that are already out there and are good/perfect. One such example would be Sony and Microsoft stealing the basic idead of the Wii's motion sensor. I know Microsoft made one called NAVAL (i think that what it's called), and if NAVAL is EVER incorporated into a game, it would make it a fail, Microsoft even said they wanted to use it in the upcoming Halo ODST. And I've heard that Sony is in the development stage of a new motion sensing appliance for the PS3, and motion sensing technology didn't work in the past for Sony. Instead of trying to cash in on one companies success, how about trying to put out some new ideas that will shape/plant the seeds of the next generation of gaming/consoles.
