@Jestersmiles Look, @Jestersmiles and others, I understand it's difficult to look past your world view, and I don't mean that in a mean way. That's just how people are. Let me try to explain how the article is bias. I'll organize this comment by sections:

Opening Paragraph: A-OK. Peter presents his thesis, nothing wrong with that.

Drive Software and OS Discussion: Fine in my book. Peter lists the facts.

USB Discussion: In brief, rather than discussing the benefits to using USB 2 (mainly passed on cost to consumer / devices that support USB 2 aren't going anywhere in the next 4 years). Peter also uses, "charged words" much more frequently in this discussion such as, "laughable" which dictate opinion rather than fact. He could have ended the discussion neutrally, but alas.

GamePad Discussion: I don't think I need to review "charged words" here, so instead I will only say that Peter continues to focus only on the negative aspects of the WiiU Gamepad. Just about every college graduate worth their weight in salt will tell you to discuss opposing points to your argument, even if only to disqualify them because of a comparable fact / theory. Not only would this have strengthened his article, but it would have mitigated any perceived bias.

Wii Transfer: "We're lucky that Nintendo allows customers to transfer content from their Wiis to begin with..."

Final Paragraph: Peter redeems himself a bit here, writing in a manner he should have done for, say the rest of the article. He acknowledges the flaw vs fly complex, and even seems to show a bit of optimism. Why the rest of the article could not have been like this last paragraph, who knows. If it were, there would be no complaint from me and, my assumption is, a lot of other folks here. Now that you've read that wall of text (maybe?) I hope you can understand my viewpoint, we can shake hands, and everyone can move on with their lives.

Are the two of you serious? Are you really that immature? I wrote an evaluation of what I saw as bias reporting given the general consensus of the tech media. There was no crying, I even agreed with Peter that there are serious problems. I simply pointed out that the article is written in the style of bias reporting. I'm just going to leave it at that because its rather obvious you're both trolls / not yet out of your parents' basement.

I'm not sure why I continue to read GS articles. GS is turning into the Fox News / MSNBC (what have you) of game news outlets. Peter, you do a great job pointing out the flaws, and mention there are positives, but do little to actually describe positives.

I'll admit, I used to be a pretty big Nintendo fanboy, but I've since gone mutli-platform to experience more of what's on the market. As such, I really rely on articles like yours to make difficult decisions about what is really worth purchasing. I have enough common sense to check multiple sources, and although I assure you and other readers here many of the criticisms are spot on, I find your tone to be one of condescension. It seems as if GameSpot editors crave to rile Nintendo fans. Here's to my hope that GS editors can get back to the "real" news world wherein bias takes a back seat to reality.

"That's like loaning your Ferrari Enzo to a shady games executive." Best line ever :D.
