I have come to the most disturbing of conclusions; i must change my allegiances or suffer great economic inefficiency. This decision of disloyalty is being force fed to me. I feel like a foreign immigrent being assimulated into a culture I dont understand and dont respect. I am almost afraid to say it... Playstation. The very word brings chills to my hands. I have been a nintendo fan since the glory days of Goldeneye. Then became a Cube user. I must admit, when the first obolisk that was the xbox came out with its mammoth controlers that must have been designed by Thor himself, itreceivedmuch ridicule from myself. My cube was so petite and fun but it quickly wore off as the titles got cheesier and cheesier andMicrosoftrealized its mistake in thinking that all xbox users would be over wieght, and made itscontrolershuman size. So I made the switch and never looked back. But that was like changing from a Strawberry smoothy to a Mango smoothy. It was an easy transition. Nintendo was never the enemy.

Playstation has always been the enemy. So what would cause the unthinkable? At the peek of Xbox performance and gaming experience, what would cause myallegiancetoswitch? Capitalism is the answer. My last 360 lays in smoldered ruins for my last life altering fast from video games. My fast did not mean that i never planned on buying an xbox or a nintendo again. I am now back in the video game market. My fiance and I were looking at wiis (Every man should thank them for wii fitness, brilliant!) She hates video games but i had her convinced about the wii and its social draws. We are going to be buying a LCD, and then it hit me. We are going to need a blue ray player... that was when the first thoughts of treason entered my head. If you buy a regular blue ray its going to run you $300, the playstation is $400 and has a superior player in it. So thanks to all of the large movie production companies that jumped ship and gave theirallegiancetoblue ray over HD, they are forcing me to jump ship.

I am angry but I have accepted my fait. I will buy a PS3. The words sting my soul and I will be a lesser human. Please Boxers, dont hate me. I cannot control the forces of Capitalism. Blue Ray won the battle and forced my hand. I hope that you will understand. I hope that you know that The box will always have my heart.

Ever since EA basically took over the NFL franchise by force, I have been skeptical. I was a huge ESPN fan and a huge Madden hater. But I believe with the recent installment of Madden 2009 they are closer to getting it right. I really thought they were just going to sit on their butts and pump out sub-par NFL titles. After all why bother? They bought out thecompetition! But if they continue to improve, I may become less agitated.

Is it possible for me to have my hours returned to me? I speak of the many hours and days of video games played. I am now at a point in my life where i am beginning to accomplish things and move towards my dreams and goals. So as I move along this new path I begin to realize that I wasted away so much of my life and young years. I hope I am wiser now because of it, I hope that those times were not truly 100% lost. I do not speak against video games entirely, for they still hold interest for me, I am just speaking out against misuse and abuse. Abuse of your time. Dont waste away too many hours of your life, because in the end, unless you are the James Bond of gamers, video games accomplish nothing and get you no where. So please take my advise and play them withresponsibility. Seriously, you hear "drinkresponsibly" all the time. Well I have a new one for you... GAME responsibly.
