It was between that and the 360 for me because I was tired of waiting for GOOD new Wii games to come out. :/ Honestly, after Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii the system has been losing serious steam.

There are all kinds of reasons I didn't go with the XBox 360. Primarily, I would never buy a system with a fail rate as pathetic as on Microsoft's machine. I will also never buy an XBox of any kind until they stop charging for online... Honestly, making a customer pay once to buy a game and then AGAIN to play it? That's a rip-off and it's embarrassing that gamers let them get away with it.

Besides that, the PS3's got better guts. It's indisputably the more powerful system. Plus, if you ask me, Sony finally has the whole problem of enticing exclusives under control. Microsoft may have Halo, but I'd rather have MGS4, Resistance, Killzone, and Uncharted anyway. (And if you look around a little bit you'll notice that Microsoft has virtually no enticing exclusives anymore...) There was a time when you could say the XBox 360 had all the best games, but it's just not true anymore because they all eventually came out on the PS3.

It depends how much you care about your XBox 360 games. Rule of thumb is to never sell a system if you think you'll regret not being able to play some games later.

In my experience, the PS3 is a solid system. If you feel like you need to sell your 360 to buy a PS3, and the PS3 exclusives really mean that much to you, by all means, do it. It's true that generally multiplatform games do look better on the 360, but this is really the only major difference between multiplatform games on the two systems and you'd have to be pretty anal about your graphics to even notice (in my opinion). The way I see it, though, 360 exclusives are way overhyped and don't begin to stack up against games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2 (though I know you're not much into first-person shooters), or Uncharted.
