Seeing every post I do in the FEEDBACK forum gets locked, I'll try it here. I'm a no nonsense guy who tells it like it IS every time, without regard for the consequences. (I once told me girlfriend to hit the treadmill because she gained a few pounds).I get moderated, warned, suspended time and time again because I have a very CAUSTIC/sarcastic tone. It's who I am. I am not a nice person. But, I get suspended for things INSTANTLY as I watch people carry on for days and dayscommitting the same "offenses" that got me suspended. It seems I get suspended because of my disposition. I never troll or flame or use obscenity, so why do I get picked on? Is it an offense to be the biggest A-hole in the world?

The bottom line is that there is an inherent flaw in your system. One look at the rules should CLUE you in. You wrote an entire TOME with so many rules and sub-rules and exceptions and this and that, that it is laughable. Look at the the IMMENSE number of questions from members. We are CONFUSED as to what we actually can and can't do--and so is this site (as evidenced by its lack of consistant moderation).

A better question would be, "what CAN we say here?" I think it'd be a much shorter post.

Ps. I'll be expecting some sort of reprisal for this post. It happens every single time.

You may as WELL had tried to prove that chess is a better game than golf. I simply CANNOT think of how these two games DIFFER any more than they already do. Stick to games that are at least SIMILAR in some respect.

HELP ME. I'm confused. Why are so MANY people arguing over what is 2nd place and what is 3rd? I....JUST....DONT....GET......IT. Stick with the good old fashioned Personal Computer (PC) and get the BEST graphics. Heck, even if you buy one from 2005, you'll still get graphics that are HEADS and SHOULDERS above the BEST ps3 or xbox360 games.

Listen to cheater_1, he knows what he's talking 'bout.

Great question. Although NOT a PC game, ZORK from 1979 (I'm dating myself) was, I think,my first computer game--on the Commodore 64. This game was REVOLUTIONARY for its time. No graphics or sound whatsoever, just words. It's an interactive game where you type in something like, "go north". The computer responds with, "you see a house." "Enter the house." "The house is locked." Open the door." Etc, etc.

ZORK 1,2,3 were puzzle type games that took MONTHS to solve. I had to spring for a CLUE BOOK as they were so difficult. THe clue books had answers to questions but the answers were INVISIBLE. The book came with a marker so you could "reveal" only as much of a clue as you wanted without giving it totally away. For example, if you were stuck in the pump room, you'd turn to the page about the pump room and it'd be totally blank. You'd highlight clue 1 with the revealing marker and it'd say something VAGUE like, "you dont have the tools to open the dam". If you were still stuck, highlight clue 2 and it would be a bit more specific. The final clue would spell out completely what you needed to do to progress in the game.

These games were all about making maps so you wouldn't lose your way. Me and my friends stayed up many late nights with a folder full of maps made on graph paper trying to find our way through the underworld. GUESS WHAT? You too can play these classic games that old timers like myself grew up on, they are FREE, here:

I have USED this site for years to help me decide what games to spend my hard earned $$$ on. I only recently decided to become a registered user so that I may share my knowledge with the masses . I'm not sure I can think up a reason to actually pay to come here. I LOVE this site--I ALWAYS come here before I make a purchase--And now I can make posts in forums and blogs. Why pay? Ad BLOCKING programs are as free and commonplace on the www as are the ads themselves. Honestly, from a business standpoint, this site is FAILING miserably if it wants to recruit paying members. I'm not disrespecting anyone. Don't cry now. It is giving me EVERYTHING that I want for FREE. Start making me PAY to post. PAY to read. PAY to view. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll open up my wallet.......nah...I'll just go to another website. Bottom line, websites make their $$$ from pay per click ADS. It's a tried and true formula. Stick to it. The occassional .05% people who pay to see their icon larger or highlighted or a nice color are just a BONUS.

This is a little constructive feedback for the THIN skinned Gamespot "administrators". LOOSEN UP. Since I've come here, I have been bombarded with Rules and regulations. Ok, ok, I'll submit to them if I wish to use this site. My PROBLEM is that I was warned because my post in the "system wars" forum was too controversial. HUH? It stated in the TOS that that forum was ABOUT debate, ABOUT the wars between 2 different system. It also stated what constituted flaming and trolling. Now, for anyone that knows me and follows me, they know I NEVER flame and NEVER troll. Too bad the evidence was deleted because I made only several posts in that forum stating why I thought PC's were a better platform than consoles. What followed was the pro-consolers mercilessly FLAMING me and baiting me with remarks that should have gotten them deleted. It seems that my flawless logic and facts irritated some moderator who HATES PCS and he decided to flex his "muscle" and warn me. Hmmmmmmmm. I have been here only a few days as a member, years as a NON-member, and I have a problem with this site and the people that run it. HYPOCRISY abounds here. I have not violated ANY TOS. I want nothing more than peaceful debate and then I get flamed and then BLAMED for the flaming. What gives? Also, when I tried to figure out how to contact ANYONE who has ANY legitimate power, It is impossible. This site goes to great lengths to HIDE how you can contact anyone. Just when I was thinking of opening up my wallet to become a paying member, I'm forced to slam it closed because some moderator doesn't like me because I have award winning debate skills. Come on gamespot, lose the hypocrisy.

I put a HUGE emphasis on graphics, true, but it is not everything. Assassins Creed destroys Thief in the graphics department (i made this comparison before), but Assassins Creed Gets a D+ in all other departments. I'd take C graphics and A gameplay over A graphics and C gameplay ANYDAY. THink about that one.

GOTCHA!!! We all KNOW that better graphics requires more space on a DVD. Now, what a console developer does, quite simply, is when the space runs out, they end the game. SHIP IT. What a PC game developer does is not sacrifice quality or content or increase the price, they simply ADD ANOTHER DVD. I seem to remember Unreal Tournament had 5 or 6 CD's for $39 bucks BRAND NEW. And yet PC games are slipping. HELP me understand.
