A lock-on? What games seriously still rely on locking on for the combat especially a shooter which ME essentially is? Ket87
Oh and Crackdown, Zelda: twilight princess(Not a shooter but still a third person action game), I could lock on in assassins creed and throw knives. Oh and the Goldeneye game that was third person on the PS2. I could go on forever, why don't you try thinking before you start typing.
[QUOTE="Mulishaman187"]Ok....Hereare my problems with Mass Effect. The gunplay is terrible! Awfull. Why no Lock-on targeting? Too many times I find myself overheating on a kill shot, but it didn't kill because I missed. It's not that I suck at aiming, its that the aiming in the game sucks.

A lock-on? What games seriously still rely on locking on for the combat especially a shooter which ME essentially is? Due to this great technology we have today plus basic motor skills we no longer have to rely on the computer to get all of the kills for us. The aiming is the same as any other game. Whats the problem the looking up and down or the turning thats got you stuck? What a dumb reason to not like a game.
See Gears of War? Ever heardof it? It wasn't too bad of a little game. I have no problem with any other shooter. Aim assist is for noobs, and I don't even recall seeing an option for it in ME. And as for acesionI don't know if we are playing the same game, we are talking about MASS EFFECT...from Bioware...right? The autosave is definately turned on, and it only saves right before certain major encounters. Because the autosave sucks on ME I have had to replay through countless hours because I forget to manually save. I die alot!! Mainly because I am reckless. If I wanted to take cover and wait for enemies and be bored I would play counterstrike. But really just wanted to make sure we are playing the same game because you obviously don;t know the difference between the game stopping to load and an autosave.
Anywho...This game is still freaking awesome...and I know alot of people are gonnahate me for saying this,Mass EffectWAY better than Halo 3.

IT's awesome how an RPG can be compared to a multiplayer FPS. I wish I could call you names but I've already been warned for that. the only reason people got halo 3 is to play it online. Sure we all played through the solo campaignto see how it ended, but be real, who paid $60 for 5 hours of gameplay? Nobody. Now you could compare CoD4 to H3. Or Oblivion to ME. apparently you never learned about genres.

Next. How bad is it that 15 hours into this game I have yet to purchase anything but licenses and the upgrades for medi-gels and 'nade capacity? The stuff is too expensive and not as good as stuff you find.
And then.....I set my weapons, assault rifle and shotgun. I hit LB to switch to my shotty and what do I pull out? The worthless sniper rifle.
Oh yeah....Why do my commrades just stand out in the open to die? I found it's easier to just waypoint them way away from the action and handle it myself.
then there was this one time.....ok it was actually alot...That the garbage autosave feature doesn't save as often as it should. You know that annoying loading that happens in the middle of everything, like walking down stairs or through an entry way? Why in the heck couldn't they make that an auto-save? So many times I will die and have to start back 2 hours because that was the last auto-save. In this day in age, especially on a console, I shouldn't have to worry about saving my game every 2 minutes just in case I come across I tough battle.
Ok now that I am done ranting about how the game sucks I have to say that I still enjoy playing it. The story is engrossing, and I can't put it down because I wanna see what happens next. I will play through it a few times to get achievments and try out the different classes. Here's hoping the sequels fix some of these issues.
