Michigan loves the Mountain State and you can mark that down!

After taking the West Virginia basketball coach last year, Michigan University took it upon themselves to take away Rich Rodriguez, the football coach, just weeks before the big Fiesta Bowl game. The latter move, which added to an already tough loss in the 100th Backyard Brawl defeat at home to Pitt, caused a whole load of turmoil that resulted in the "experts" calling WVU's game against Oklahoma U last week an easy win for OU with some even claiming a victory by, "at least three touchdowns!" - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RHb5E1BPNQ4. Well, they got the spread right at least as the Mountaineers took it to the Sooners 48-28 leaving everyone looking a bit dumb and pretending it didn't really happen.

Now "Richigan" is trying to take a third coach from Morgantown in the shape of women's soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown. She has refused their offers - http://www.timeswv.com/wvu_sports/local_story_357014924.html - but it sounds as though she gave them a fair hearing before the weekend. For a state that gets unfairly looked down upon, joked about and otherwise ignored, there is at least one place where they can't seem to get enough of West Virginia!

The Christmas decorations are down - is the PS2 on it's way out as well?

Back in 2001 I recieved a PS2 from North America and since then I have always been on-and-off when it comes to playing on it. Lately though I have been on it a lot more and amassed a decent wishlist that is already under attack. But I do wonder how long I have left before the games are no longer there. Should I be worried yet? Have I wasted all those years buying only 23 games? I don't think so.

I firmly believe the PS2 has a couple of years left until the availability of games runs dry. When that day comes I will probably stick with Sony and go for the PS3, although I believe I will have to, once again, get the machine from across the pond so I can continue to play my PS2 games. By that time of course the PS3 will be coming into it's own as it always takes a few years for the new consoles to really shine and show what they can do.

I'm perfectly happy right now with the Playstation 2 and, with all the games that have been released for it over the years, I should have no trouble in keeping myself highly entertained for some time to come!
