Can't wait until Christmas break... every year we go to my grandparents house (just got a new one in the mountains) and the whole family on my moms side gets together... it's really beautiful where they live now. Well anyway, I get the cheesy presents from the electronically challenged side of the family (well except for my cousin John and my uncle) but it's really nice. Its so hard waiting just two hours for presents but the food makes up for it! Well last year I got some cool stuff, like a Tony Hawk autograph, the game of Risk (which I have to say is pretty fun), and some other stuff. Then, the morning after I wake up at 5:30 when only my grandfather, a Korean war vet, is up reading the paper, only after walking two miles earlier. We sit up, drinking dark coffee and talking. I rip open the boxes of the two games I usually get and start to play until around ten when we pack it up and go on to my grandmothers house back near home, where my fathers side of the family gets together, but not my uncle, he usually stays back in Wyoming working in his own taxedermy business. And his Corvette. Lucky. But anyway, we come back, eat some more, and open more presents, usually two GC games and three CDs. a few books, and something involving Mustangs :P My cousin and her fiancee' stop by, so does my aunt, and sometimes one of my cousins numerous friends. I usually stay upstairs, playing my GC but last year I stayed down with the older people listening to old stories and drinking more coffee. At around ten, my little brother is usually out of it and we head home to open yet more presents, last year Metroid Prime and the best out of all, my new Dimension 2400, our first brand new computer, complete with the internet and everything. I usually just lay on the couch listening to my parents talking and fall fast asleep dreaming about all my gifts and my family. I wake up the next morning to play games and anything else I received. Overall the holidays are always very enjoyable in my family. This year I'll probably just get a DS, a CD, and nothing else... but I don't really care because of everything else that happens. I can't wait for Christmas.
