oh yeah, done them all, ... to death. In the mx racing community everyone plays mx vs atv. The video game is almost as much fun as doing it. Amazing game.

wow ! Great news. I love this series. Played out the untamed series. Need a new one. I race motocross and needed a way to train. So I put my road bike in a trainer and bought a Ride device that let me play while I exercise. Works great. Got crazy hours in and got real good at game. When you pedal and you feel like you are in the race. Gets you pedaling faster as you get close to dudes. Fun ! Do you ride, cycle or mx ?

The karate stance would be a good idea. That will give you a great burn, and build strength. Cycling while playing video game is very addictive. But holding a stance would get maximum burn. I will try that also. Maybe see if can hold for full race ? Like 6 min, ouch !

That is what I am saying. Is that it is not a short cut. I get more exercise while playing the game then I do when not playing. I am at it now 3 days in a row. Getting great workouts and gaming is more fun. Feels like I am really racing. You can not consider it a short cut. I hope some one here tries it. Just use any indoor bike, and put in (racing game) Moto GP or Mx vs ATV. It is really intense. I am already good at these so no learning curve. Legs start spinning and I forget I am even pedalling. Someone else has got to do this with a 1st shooter. I would like to know what happens. I get that curled lip and sweat in the eyes thing going. Much more virtual then ever before. Come on who's got a bike ?

Well if you are that serious about exercising, forget about the games for a second and just exercise......problem solved!

I think you are missing the point. The game gets me to exercise. You must be friends with creepa313. If not introduce yourselves. I am worked out from that last race/ ride.

My favorite is either the 12 oz curl or the 16 oz curl depending on my beverage that night. Also exercising my mouth with constant trash talking seems to pump me up.xxxMoreBeerxxx
Yeah I used to be like that. Then I saw a close gaming buddy of mine die of a heart attack. Now I am trying to get motivated to exercise. The worse part is that he really suffered in the hospital for a long time. Buzz kill , I know.

[QUOTE="DJ_Lae"]I've always wanted to try that, but I'd rather just use a stationary bike. The seat on my bike isn't exactly built for comfort and without my hands on the handlebars to take some of the weight off my crotch, it would be mighty sore ] I used to have a recumbant stationary bike but gave it away because it was more uncomfortable than regular bike in trainer. I guess it was the flat wide seat, itchy. With a regular bike would need something stable to rest arms on. Really can not hold yourself up for long. Stationary bikes are expensive. I got a trainer for my bike for ~$100. Works great. But boring. I want to try the weights on my arms idea. Crazy but a good one. Might work. How could you do that ?

Funny ! I like the thoughts. This has got me wondering. So I tried it and I got a real good sweat. Way better than Wii fit. Done that and found it to be boring and not really like "real" exercise. Was playing Moto GP and it felt like I was in the game. Everytime I got close to someone I found myself pedaling faster. Went for like 20 minutes but had to stop because could not seat up on seat without something to lean on. Anyone here into racing games ? if so give it a try. See if you can do it. I am not real good a shooting games but I wonder if you pedal faster when you get into the action ? On being careful not to do too much, I would think you would have to do quite a bit to have that problem. I know that cycle riders do like 3-4 hrs a day.

I heard of a way to ride your own bicycle on a indoor trainer that frees your hands up and you can play games. I like racing games and thought that it would be cool way to loose a few pounds while racing. Has anyone done this ? Can you do both at the same time ?
