Hey people, it's Sunday once again. You know that I have this weekly commitment down at this point.
I don't have much new to talk about, though I have been able to download Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 on WiiWare. Very much enjoying the game and I'm almost completed. I would be finished by now, but I have been taking the time to beat the special stages in order to get all of the chaos emeralds. In fact it even got to the point where when I was playing the second level of Casino Street Zone to get to the fourht special stage, I ended up having to replay the level so many times that by the time I finally did, I ended upgetting literally 210 lives. In general the game is pretty easy but some of the special stages have been exceptionally tough, I am finally up to the final special stage and it's not really that hard, it's just the fact that I haven't been able to accumulate enough time in order to get the 99 rings needed to open the gates to the emerald. Hopefully I'll be able to get past that part some other time, I might review the game as well once I review it, we'll see.
Out of a pinch of luck, I have just seen Red today. If you're curious what the title means, it's an acronym that stands for "retired, extremely dangerious". That is basically what the films title live up to since it's about said characters. The film is based on a retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses who has been feeling lonely in his retirement days and has begun talking to a customer service agent from his pension office in Kansas City. This life of his is interrupted once a hit squad overruns his house and turns it into literal Swiss cheese. After that, Frank goes to Kansas City to protect Sarah knowing that she would be tracked by the same assassins. Because of this, she becomes Frank's reluctant companion while he tries to find out who is trying to kill him, and resorts to tracking down his old black-ops friends in order to find out why they are now wanted fugitives. I don't want to give away any spoilers, that's pretty much the basic premise of the story. In terms of action, Red definatley is a huge action film since it does at times manage to go a bit over the top at points and even the main story manages to become muddled at a few points when the action takes place but it all manages to wrap up easily enough towards the ending. It's not exactly a perfect action movie, but the action sequences are compelling and the cast of Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich andHelen Mirren being as good as it is, it makes for an enjoyable time at the theaters.
That's my end, managing to get another movie in and possibly might be able to get a bit more gaming in. That's the need for compromising with college work after all.
That's the news from Myviewing as of October 24, 2010.
