For lack of an interesting introduction, here is my new edition of Sunday Ramblings! This time I actually managed to get my date right, hope I can keep that up.
If anybody is really that curious about what's been going on for me, well I found out some recent stuff in the gaming world a bit recently, a lot of it probably being old news. For one thing, there was a movie I was semi-anticipating, The Legend of Spyro 3D, well after all it's delays and rumors it has officially been cancelled. I'll admit that if anything it would have been cool to see Spyro animated onto the big screen, but given the "credentials" of the people put in charge for the movie, it was probably for the better it was cancelled. Who knows? Maybe somebody will try and pick it up one day, but at least it won't give Legend of Spyro fans like myself a bad name. That's all that's been said anyway, no use in lamenting over it I guess.
I also have a rant on Activision cutscene movies in the works at the moment, I just need to polish it up a bit and then it should be ready for publishing on my blogging system. Expect it sometime this week once I make the changes needed.
Well stay consistant with gaming stuff I just found out something, Move aparrently came out. By that of course, I mean Playstation Move, and it took me a while to realize that it actually came out... So did anybody feel a rumble of some kind? Because I couldn't sense anything really shaking upon release. No crying babies or crows were anywhere and they haven't been around, just a big nothing thsi time. I also just recently found an article on WatchMojo saying it sold 140k units in its early days. I guess that's what you get for releasing anything in the midst of Halo: Reach.
That's one thing I'm curious what Microsoft has regarding Kinect (anybody else still prefer Natal?). Kinect is supposed to be releasing around the same time as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Gran Turismo 5 (If it stays on this release date anyway). We all know that Black Ops is going to be a huge seller on both platforms regardless of what you think of Modern Warfare 2. So because of that, the product might end up suffering from the combined forces of those two. I'm guessing that neither company is really planning to make that much money off of either considering the release dates.
I obviously can't buy Move with lack of a Playstation 3, as far as Kinect thoughI am kind of interested andI may end up buying it at some point depending on the games coming out anyway. So far the games with any details out I'm interested in are Sonic Free Riders and Kinect Star Wars and whether or not those games will be any good is still up for questioning since they haven't been released or reviewed yet. There are some games like Rise of Nightmares and Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor that have interested me, but there's not much out on those yet either. So kind of lackluster start so far, but maybe it will pick up if both of these get some kind of sales boost this holiday.
Just random stuff to pull out for this week, time for the next two work days and focusing on homework.
That's the news from Myviewing as of September 26, 2010.
