'Sup people, it's me again. I don't really have much to say this time because well I didn't really do much this week. It's mostly all been work and occasional school. I say occasional because I'm pretty much working even more than I am in school at this point, but at least I get paid, so I never do end up complaining. Here in the states it is also Daylight Savings Time or something like that, so now we get to turn our clocks back an hour. Now morning actually feels like morning and night actually feels like night. I don't know why we still have this system today, but at least I can get some needed rest at last. I did get two new games this week actually, Kirby's Epic Yarn and the GoldenEye remake.
I've played Epic Yarn for a fair amount of time, a very good game. Nice to see that we finally got the Kirby console game we've been waiting for. I don't remember if Air Ride or whatever it was called had very fair reception at the time, it's been forever since I played it at my friend's place as well. I think it would be interesting to see a 3D Kirby game, but ah well, the 2D formula isn't broken so there's no need to fix it. I also like the fact that the art styl e isn't a complete gimmick, it actually does affect the gameplay and it shows how it can change a done before formula well enough. There's never been a Kirby game known for its negative reception from what I recall, pretty much because not that many Kirby games are totally different from one another, well then again I haven't really played that many Kirby games anyway. Pretty nice the folks at HAL Laboratory and Good Feel were able to produce something this nice. I am a bit more anticipant of Donkey Kong Country Returns, but two good 2D platformers is always better than one. If the recpetion hasn't convinced you enough, Epic Yarn is veryeasily reccomendable for your next purchase.
I've also been very anticipant of the GoldenEye remake because of my fond memories of the original way back when I was younger. You see before there was Call of Duty, before Halo, even before... well it actually did come after Doom so not that far back, if anyone wanted to play multiplayer on a first person shooter on a console, you bought a Nintendo 64, a copy of GoldenEye or ideally both. Then the magic of four people playing a shooter at the same time in the same room would settle in seemlessly. It's definatley nice to have the remake finally happen although I haven't played it that much yet. It's sort of like the Call of Duty games on the Wii although it was developed by Eurocom, the same people who made quite a number of liscenced games in the past, I can also assure that anyone who has played Beijing 2008 should not fear going into this game as those days of that crappy game have finally swooped passed them, or at least I forgive them for it. I'll admit I never did beat the single player campaign, but the levels are as faithful to the original as far as I can remember, and the multiplayer probably will be as good as I remember it. I also got a Best Buy version that comes with a GoldenClas sic Controller Pro, a nice contrast to my Monster Hunter Tri Black one I have to say. I also got the codes to the Tag Multiplayer mode and Clas sic modee which I think are supposed to be unlockable come December 31 or somewhere around that time. It's my time to brag and I'm a very happy camper overall.
Don't know if I'll have anything exceptional to talk about later on, I hope I'll have something to add in the comment section if anyone asks.
That's the news from Myviewing as of November 7, 2010.
