That's really odd. There's no way you can break the Microphone, unless you shove small objects in it. Maybe you should consult the instruction manual of the game you are playing to be sure the game uses the Microphone feature. If that doesn't help, the system will need to be repaired.
I suggest Drill Dozer. I thought that it was a fantastic and very overlooked GBA game. The graphics were really neat and colorful, the soundtrack was complete with inspiring techno music that captures the mood of scripted events and battles alike, and the innovative gameplay mechanic makes the game truly unique. Right now, you can purchase the game for 15 bucks at GameStop.
That's strange, because I really enjoyed Brain Age 2. I thought the variety of games were really innovative. In my opinion, they were just as good, if not better, than the ones offered in Brain Age.
