Ranting(not really) on Quick-Scoping Ranters
by NSRdangerclose on Comments
Hi everyone, NSRdangerclose here with my short rant(discussion) on quick-scope ranters (all types). For those of you who don't know what quick-scoping is, first, buy Modern Warfare 2. Nah, but you need to own a copy to understand. Bolt action sniper rifles are favoured by snipers looking to create montages or get amazing clips to share with the web. They are also used competitively, running around, (sounds ridiculous, running around with snipers I know, but it works) with certain perks. We all know how to snipe: zoom, hold breath, aim, fire. Quick-scoping involves half, sometimes full zooming while moving the rifle to where the person is, quickly shooting and quickly pulling out a desert eagle if you fail. This method works very well if it is well practiced. Anyways, if you want to learn more about it, don't ask me, I'm pretty useless at it, but I don't mind when I am killed that way because it takes skill (and some luck - but don't all kills?). THE FIRST TYPE OF RANTER: WOW THATS CHEAP AND TAKES NO SKILL- well, you should have been more alert with your silenced ump, ninja and cold blooded class hmm? Actually, why not you go try to do that successfully and see how well it works out, then tell me it takes no skill. THE SECOND TYPE OF RANTER: OMG TREYARCH WHY DID YOU REMOVE QUICK-SCOPING AND RUIN SNIPING???!!!!!- Well for starters, they DID NOT ruin sniping. Nor did they fully remove/ruin QSing. Don't believe me? Check out OpTic Predator, he seems to be coping fine. I myself have found that sniping still works, however more in the role that sniping should fill. I played a conservative match sniping from afar (as a sniper would do) and went 13 and 2 using the L96A1 (Black Ops' bolt action sniper). If you haven't noticed, Black Ops is coming more towards realism....No Commando, and No Quick-scoping. And really, they weren't that cheap in Modern Warfare 2. What I'm trying to say is, QSing wasn't and isn't cheap, and these so-called sniping clans yet still competitive (cough OpTic) who complain or make comments about sniping being difficult or not easy to get used to, well as that clan, you should be at a high enough gaming level where you can pick up another weapon, enter a match, and destroy everything in sight. I'd like to see what comments you have so please feel free to comment or debate with me on this subject. Thanks, and Keep Gaming!
NSR and Myself

Hi everyone, NSRdangerclose here, part of the small NSReviews team that is just getting started. Along with NSRwheels and NSRcrackshot, I'll be reviewing the latest and greatest in the gaming world. They will be tcovering the 360, and I will be doing PS3. Any interest, comments or constructive criticism is much appreciated as we get started. I will be reviewing Black Ops shortly, and Gran Turismo 5 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood some time next month. Personally I am probably addicted to COD, so I will be focusing blog posts about it in the future, and I also have a YouTube account (NSRdangerclose there too) where I wil feature my game clips from theatre mode, and anything else I feel like. Currently, I have 3 videos, 2 sniping and one a nice tomahawk 3 in a row spree on Sticks and Stones, so definitely check out that channel. Finally, NSReviews is mainly about having fun and helping everyone else decided whether or not they should pick up a game. Check back here, and with NSRwheels and NSRcrackshot for updates, reviews, and other news. Any questions can be directed to any one of us. Thanks and Keep Gaming!
