Simple question:

Does the PS3 have any trouble playing games on a DVI w/HDCP monitor?

I was going to get a DVI to HDMI cable and hook my PS3 up into a monitor. I heard some issues after new PS3 firmware update, of peoples monitors flickering on and off. I'll be flying over the pacific soon and a monitor is the route to go instead of buying a tv.

I can't find the "tell a friend" feature found in xbox live where you can recommend arcade games to friends. Did Microsoft take that option off?

Don't worry topic creator. I know how you feel. Not sure why people can't understand that you DIDN"T MOVE your console when this happen. I was playing Fallout 3 yesterday and notice a perfect circle when I took the disk out. I then went to inspect my other 360 games. All 14 of them have that perfect circle around them like this:

Supposedly it's a defect in the disk tray. I was thinking about calling Microsoft and having it repaired. But I figured with the new dashboard update coming out, we'll be able to install games to the HD and this should fix this problem. If you're reading this, give an update if you're still having the issue.

I bought a new 360 around six months ago. Today I noticed that all 14 of my games have a scratched ring around the disk. I just recently bought Fallout 3, Fable 2 and Dead Space and am pretty pissed in seeing this circle on the disks. It looks exactly like the circle in this pic:

Some more pronounced than others. Not a big deal to some, but I try to keep my CDs in flawless condition. And this happens... Anyone have this happen to them? How did you go about correcting this issue? Is my system defected?

Mau-- Path of the Warrior.

I don't necessary suck but my motive to play through it is not there. I'm just not feeling it like I did with the first one. NG2 annoyances are preventing me from accomplishing a purpose and fulfilling a desire-- thus equals frustrating in my book:) I'll check out LO. Thank you gamers for the 411.

I think I just about had it with NGII. Once I made it to the green tunnel (chapter 8?) I had enough. A game is not worth playing if you're going to get all worked up about it and possibly raise your blood pressure. Whatever.

Is Lost Odyssey as frustrating as NGII? I heard reports of it being hard.

Thanks for the replies. Frosty, what I mean is when Microsoft released their DRM tool; I won't have access to my broken 360 anymore if I sell it now. I don't know how their DRM tool is going to work, but I should be safe if i write down the serial # right? To get a better idea what I'm talking about taking from an interview:

There have been some high profile complaints on the web about how difficult it is to transfer things like XBLA game licenses to replacement 360s in the wake of an under warranty hardware failure. Would these changes to DRM policy address these issues, letting people who have experienced such failure re-license their purchases on their new Xbox so they don't have to be connected to Live to play? Are there any other sorts of changes to DRM policy being made here that would affect the end-user experience?

Yes, this new tool will officially launch next month on Xbox.com and will allow you to be able to consolidate these licenses onto one box so you can access things like Xbox LIVE Arcade games and TV show you have downloaded even if you are not online. Because this involved allowing users to re-download licenses for content that belongs to our partners it has taken some time to work out the agreements with them to allow this, but we have heard the concerns from folks about DRM and are happy to announce that everything is nearly in place to roll this out in June ::END::

I just don't want to make any mistakes of when that tool comes out and Microsoft needs the broken 360 for some odd reason...I'm thinking it's ok to sell it now but as long as I have the old serial#.

My 360 broke the other day - RROD (manufactured on 10/06) I bought a new one and I'm having DRM issues with my downloaded stuff. Long story short:

Is it safe to sell my broken 360 now or should I wait for Microsoft to release their DRM tool then sell it?
