Well I bought one so that should speak for itself. Very few people can afford to buy something for 600.00 plus dollars that they don't like. IT's your decision. I'm sure you're more than capable of making up your mind for on your own. I'm sure you know what games are coming, what games are out, and what the other system's have going for them. Be a big boy and make up your own mind.

P.S....anyone else sick of these "convince me to buy a PS3" threads?

Hmmm, well given what you've said about already having a DVD player I'm not sure, but the Playstation controller's been the same since PS1 Analogue DualShock came out. Only difference is that the sixth axis is swinging (used in Call of Duty 3). It really depends on how hi-def you want your games to look. PS2 games also gain a bit of a boost in graphics (nothing extremely pretty, but the brightness and the newer graphics card makes the recent PS2 games such as Tomb Raider: Legend look spectacular. They games may be expensive, but if you have the right television it sure is worth it. It would definately have been a bargain had you not bought the Blu-Ray DVD player as you would've saved about $400 which is enough for about four games.squall780

So very true about the Blu-Ray Player, though the PS3 seems to be quite expensive, not only for the system, but the games are rediculously priced...

I have been searching long hours of the day and night to try to find a Wii, but they are absolutely nowhere! When do you think that Wii's will be in surplus, or atleast readilly available?

 Pretty good deal $1.00 for a bluray player came with an HDTV!! Yes, PS3 is a great machine. I too used to be nothin' but Xbox, X360.not anymore.......... I now am PS3 more than ever.
