I wanted to post this for the benefit of all SLI users with microstuttering. I've tried altering every setting in the nVidia control panel with the goal of solving this crippling crap in Crysis with my two EVGA GTX 275s, and there has never been a software solution available to us. No driver updates this far have fixed this. I had limited success with split frame rendering, but ultimately the problem still existed. The only guaranteed solution? I bought a $6 nVidia-branded SLI bridge connector on eBay. Everything is perfect now. I plugged it in, turned the system on, and started Crysis. No microstutter. I'm not sure about other manufacturers, but EVGA did not provide this item in either of the retail cards I bought. The suggested solutions in threads just like this one - like changing the Vsync, FPS limiting, and defragmenting (really? you REALLY think defragmenting will resolve microstutter?) on many sites were typically completely naive, ridiculous, and showed that 99% of posters cannot understand the problem. The bridge connector resolved microstuttering by allowing the cards to have a direct connection to each other, thus allowing the synchronization of the output. Everyone should also verbally slap anyone suggesting that you cannot detect framerates over 30, and that you only notice microstutter after reading about it. From the moment I got my 2nd 275, the impact is immediate and obvious. Regardless, this is your guaranteed solution. Buy a SLI bridge connector which is compatible with the 2xx series or whatever you are using, and be done with it.
