I had a 360 back in 06, it broke the 2nd day killed my gears of war so we returned it to walmart. Next year for my birthday got a wii, was satisfied for 2 months. Got bored after i beat zelda, decided to buy re4. Kept me playing the wii for an extra 2 weeks, got bored. Bought super mario galaxy, kept me satisfied for about a month, then nothing left to keep me satisfied. Got real bored and my birthday was at the end of september, and i got bored of it near the end of november. In december i got lucky traded it for a 60gb ps3, and so far my ps3 has kept me satisfied due to more mature games and fps on it. Well now it's almost a year and a half later and im still satisfied with all of the games on it, i like the wii, but it's just not right for me because the games are just targeting pretty much groups. I still go to my friend's we play brawl and mario kart pretty much the only 2 games i like, play some mario party here and there too. But trust me, when im playing the wii without friends it's pretty pointless and boring so i decided to get rid of it. If i'd known i would get it for my birthday i probably wouldn't stop my parents but if i could go back, i would stop them and make them buy a 360/ps3. The wii is alright just not the best and in my opinion not worth it if you're used to fps or street racing/pro racing games. Now im saving up for a 360, and then i'll be satisfied with the 2 systems that are truly "next gen." Yes many people say it's not about the graphics its the gameplay, well i've tried the wii's gameplay and it just sucked for me, but for a group it was fun. Most of the time you're playing alone though, which is why i plan to never get one again. I'll be satisfied with me 360/ps3 combo.
Now dont get me wrong, i dont hate nintendo, i just hate this console. I grew up on the n64 playing super smash bros mario kart, super mario64, vigilante 8, the console was perfect. I loved waking up and then my brothers and i would play beetle adventure racing from morning to night and my friends would come over with his starfox and we'd play as a team. Then when i got the ps2 my brothers loved it, but i wanted a gamecube. The gamecube had such good graphics and games, eventually we got 1 and i played it way more than the ps2, it was a great system. I would buy the wii but what ever happend to starfox, A new zelda come on...i remember my n64 the most for goldeneye which was one hell of a game. Nintendo, i hope with your next system you stop targeting younger audiences, but the cash is what makes a company so i doubt it will happen.
