Audio staff work really hard on in game music and sounds. Another good reason to put it in the hands of Devs is maybe they want you to play the game with their music. If this is not your style turn down the music in the options and play you ipod, im sure everyone has one. Many people should look into the game making process to appreciate more the hard work ppl put into them. Sony provided a way, its up to Devs to know their audience and provide it if they see fit. mugwuffin2

I think that's why most devs dont' support the feature. If a game's soundtrack is that detestable to you, don't play the game.

You don't need a PC to play a PS3 game online, you do need an internet conection. Also MGO is part of MGS4, so you don't need to buy it seperatly.

I wouldn't sell it to them just because the parents are present, because lots of parents are ignorant as to the contents of video games. Some think that all games are suitable to kids just because "video games are for kids". I was in a store once when I was in line behind an elderly couple buying San Andreas for their grandson's birthday. Needless to say, when they were informed what kind of stuff is possable in the game they left empty handed. I would make sure the parents understand what M for mature means.

no need to put up a forum about ur personal problems...just be patient or look on the wii tracker website...that was how i got mine on feb. 11

pikma

I soulden't have to use a tracking website or "be patient" for a glorified gamecube that's over a year old. I want to find a Wii, not Big Foot.

lol
if it's a glorified GameCube

then
why the heck you want to find one?
go play The "TRUE" next gen or something like that then

I'm an old Nintendo fan owning all consoles since the NES, at the very least I want it for my collection. And there are some games I'm interested in playing like No More Heros. Although the Gamecube comment was a joke, it's not that far off base.

[QUOTE="hicksrn"]

My wife and I decided that we wanted to try the Wii "experience". The great web site further sold us on the system. I had expected it might be a little tough but had no idea what it was truly like out there. I have been given so many stories by so many "informed" employees of the usual retail suspects that I don't even know what to do. To make it even worse, Nintendo seems to just be plugging along on their web site as if nothing is wrong with no mention of the absolute lack of Wiis available. I have looked for several days now and THERE ARE NO WIIs unless you pay an extortion price well above $400 for a system that retails at $250. That is just something I am not willing to do. After two or more weeks now I have been call and combing local stores with no luck at all. I can just about expect a different story from every employee of Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, etc. I talk to. Nintendo needs to wake up and admit that there is an issue with supply and post some sort of information on schedule. Its not fair to the consumer to be treated as non existent. Nintendo should keep in mind that it is those customers that will provide future sales and at this point we're rethinking our whole desire to have one. I mean look at it from this end point of view, here is a company that has this whiz bang web site with many many examples to show just how fun the Wii is, and the consumer is left saying "hey, I want that" but in the end its just not to be for unknown reasons which no one can, or is willing to provide. I hope the situation changes, but as not a sole seems to be truly informed on the issue I am probably expecting too much. Maybe some kind hearted Gamespot editor will read this and fill us in, maybe they know what's going on. Finally, shame on Gamestop for selling a preorder of the Wii for $474.00, what is up with that?

riverwynde

Shame on Gamespot?? Shame on you for not being able to do simple math!!!

Game spot bundles include"

2 games..normal price 49.99 = 99.98

Wii System = 250.00 (for arguement sake)

Wii Play w/controller = 49.99 (gamestop price)

Wii Memory SD 1.0GB = 29.99

Extra Nunchuck = 19.99

Wii Charger station = 34.99

Grand total = $ 484.94 before tax

Gamestop price = $474.93 before tax

You save = $10.01

Then you have shipping and handling

So..OP..plz tell me where Gamestop has to be ashamed of them selves for the price on there bundles??

And if you don't want everything in the bundle? Then you're paying for stuff you're not going to use.

You can install Yellow Dog Linux and use a word processor. I assume you ask because there aren't any other options?

What about the movie trailers and game demo on the PSN?  Sony could charge the studios to put these on the PSN if they aren't already because they are essentially advertising the movie or game.  Or the PSN could become ad based where you go to the store and see ads on the sidebar.
