So everything is solid about the game, but it doesn't do anything new and you give it a 6. So why are the COD games still getting high scores?

Nobody is forcing this guy to publish physical disks, are they? Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't he make a game and sell it as digital download only on the XBone?

And to say physical discs are pointless as long as the internet exists is only looking at it from the developer / publisher perspective and willfully ignoring the issues this creates on the consumer side. You can't sell back a digital copy (or buy one used) which is one of the main reasons the backlash occurred that caused MS to reverse policy. Which I'm sure is why he feels this way - used game sales hurt his bottom line.
