I was hoping someone could help me out, most games I play like cod and bfbc2, I need to turn off my firewall so get in games or else it won't let me connect, I checked the internet acess rules and it checked off bfbc2, this has happened before to all my other games but still won't let me join any games. Help?

.... Because you didn't buy it through steam?

bonafidetk

Ahh I see :/ I didn't but is there a way to get the short cut? xD

Game > Add non-steam game Then find the BC2 executable. In future if you want to know if a game is guaranteed to be tied to steam, look for a steamworks logo on the box.

Ah I see thank you guys, sorry for the trouble. :D

Well I got the game, runs pretty good :D, but how come it's not registered to steam and there's no shortcut? I went into the files and there was none, perhaps it's the "autorun" program? I have to manually press the eject and then I can start playing.

[QUOTE="gmaster456"][QUOTE="Necrophine"][QUOTE="gmaster456"] You have a Radeon HD4830. I'd say you can run it at a mixture of medium and High settings. What monitor do you have?

I think I have an ACER X193W (Analog) 32 bit monitor on 1280 by 800 resolution

You can pull it off on high but for optimal performance I'd play it on a mixture of medium and high.

Alrighty, thanks for your help. (:

[QUOTE="gmaster456"][QUOTE="Necrophine"][QUOTE="gmaster456"] What resolution do you game at?

Uh I'd play at anything but I just don't want it to be too bad if you mean ingame resolution, as for my card I typed in dxdiag and it says 4800 >_>. Chip Type: ATI Display Adapter (0x944C) DAC Type: Internal DAC(400MHz)

[QUOTE="Necrophine"]OS: Windows Vista Home Premium Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66 GHz (2CPUs), ~2.7GHz Memory: 2046 MB RAM Direct X 11 Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series Can I run Bad Company 2? I posted this somewhere else, but seeing how this is a thread dedicated to pc help I thought I'd post it here too. Thanks (:gmaster456

You can run it on High

Not to doubt you or anything but tons of people say I can't run it or I'll run it on low, and I tried Can You Run It and I didn't pass the recommended. o:

Why dont you get TF2 for multiplayer? Or Starcraft 2? Or...uh...what else. Killing Floor? I played with a guest pass and it was better than I expected. I have L4D2 but I still havent put in as many hours in it as I would have liked. Gamesterpheonix
Killing Floor and Starcraft 2 are amazing games, I love them so much, Killing Floor = Teamwork, and killing zombies with your friends, this game is pretty similar to L4D and L4D2. I also heard lots of good things about TF2. :D
