I dunno why but seems like I'm the only one that knows about Avast! antivirus. I've been running it on 2 machines for 2-3 years now. The home edition is completely free and its a super great antivirus with automatic updating. Normally you'll hear a recorded voice report out loud once you have turned on your computer and it's grabbed new updates.

It uses very little resources and a nice UI for it with downloadable skins.

BTW: It was one of the first anti-viruses during the time that was made to support 64bit OSs as well.

What you are referring to I believe are the timings and from what I understand the lower the numbers the better performance. Also 1t command rate is better then 2t if your ram/motherboard will support that without errors. I'm currently just leaving mine at the default settings since I'm overclocking my CPU which is also OCing the ram after I have put it on a lower divider.

If you would like to learn much more on this sort of stuff and overclocking check out this place.

I've been learning alot from there..

Hope this helps

lol, you should have researched more before you bought it :P

i'm running a AMD 64 x2 4200+ it doesn't run 4ghz + its 2.21 ghz. It's a different way that AMD labels their processors although I haven't ever really thought about how they come up with those numbers in comparison to the actual processor speed.

Dell has some now just not that cheap. Good price compared to others.

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Games/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=A1348853

It says its running at core clock speed of 660Mhz which is faster than a version I got for more money. I don't know how much I like the fact its MSI though.

I found them instock at TigerDirect last week. I arrived yesterday XFX Alpha Dog Extreme Edition. You just need to go to every site that carrys them and hopefully you can get a email notification whenever they come back in stock. I payed just a little over $300 for mine. It's a little bit of a price gouge but thats how it will be everywhere for a while.

I got this deal instead of the Westinghouse. This monitor has gotten some good reviews and it was on sale for black friday for $170 after rebates. After having it home it looks really nice. I found the same thing on sale at Tiger Direct on cyber monday for $10 more so I put in a order for another to have my 2ndary monitor replaced as well with another one of these guys. They are HDCP so I'll be able to run my HD-DVD player to the 2nd one with a HDMI-DVI cable/ DVI splitter to the computer as well.8)

Acer AL2216WBD

3 year warranty

I do have one dead pixel though.. right in the fkin middle of the screen. Will be changing it out hopefully within the week if Comp USA gets more in.

I just upgraded the Case and changed out the parts last weekend to a Antec Nine hundred. It does have great air flow and the fans are adjustable to 3 speeds per fan inside the case. Seems to be performing good. I may get another 120mm fan for the side door as a vent for the GPU, guess that be better then actually blowing on it. Might mess up my tunnel inside.

Anywaz I found it for $70 after mail in rebates on black friday at Comp USA. It's a little heavy but very slick looking.

yea.. sucks I payed a little over 300 for mine but I got a decent amount of games that I was holding off on playing until I got it. As hard as it is to get your hands on these i felt the extra money was worth it if I can have one before next year.. I would have rather got the EVGA SC edition with Crysis rather then XFX Extreme edition with Company of Heroes if I could do it over again but beggers can be choosers.. or whatever..

PS I'm reported that mine arrived at my house at 10:35am this morning while I am work. :)
