[QUOTE="NemeSyS-1"]Every single review site/publication has basically trashed BackBreaker and yet the average reader(actual gamer) review is a 7-7.5 average. I have to figure one of two things is at play here. Either BackBreaker is truely as bad as the "experts" say it is because we all know that they are always spot on with their reviews or is that we the gamers are able to see BackBreaker for what it is and no, its not Madden and Imo it shouldn't be graded as if it were. Imo, BackBreaker is a starting point for may well be a fantastic football franchise that will eventually be able to compete against Madden if the devs can continue to improve and refine on what is a very good football engine. I honestly dont care about the lack of NFL licensing or anything like that. My biggest and probably only gripe with BackBreaker and at its root is the one, huge, glaring problem is the camera. I just feel that while I get that they wanted to give you the onfield feeling, there should have been a way to pan the camera back. Yes, the atmoshere could use a little work, the player models need some variances in look and where in the heck are the announcers. I would have loved to have seen the old NFL 2K guys calling this game!! As I said, while Backbreaker is no Madden, it shouldn't be held that same standard either. Graded on its own merits, I think Backbreaker deserves an easy 7!gamer082009Another thread with someone expressing their opinion against another opinion!! Something doesn't sound right about that at all..The reviews are spot on about the game, some people still find Pong fun. Some people find Barbie games fun, but me - I don't. So can we please stop bashing reviewers because you think your opinion supersedes that of all?! I remind you, a reviewer from GameSpot or IGN is a person just like you with dislikes and likes. I don't like Macaroni but my brother does..it's all opinions, and likes and dislikes (they vary sheesh). My point was that after reading several reviews from so called "professional" reviewers, i came away with the sense that they basically said "well, this isnt Madden, so we will just dismiss it"!!!! Imo, BackBreaker should have been reviewed with the thought going in that its not Madden. How is it, that 1000's of readers/forum goers can rate the game on average 2 full points higher than these review sites and mags do? It is obvious that video game football players are liking Backbreaker.
