After MW 2, the only way that Im getting CoD Black Ops is if the make a campaign that makes sense and feels fullfilling at its end and if they basically shelve everything that MW 2 did for multiplayer and get back to CoD 2/CoD 4 type multiplayer!
While BluRay is a nice addition, it simply isnt needed for gaming this generation. While Sony will want you to believe that BluRay is the end all be all, I for one think that Digital Distribution will have a larger impact on gaming next generation. Think of the manufacturing costs that would be saved by companies not having to produce millions of cases and instruction booklets. Didgital distribution is already a success with the Games on Demand on XBL and several hit titles on PSN like SOCOM, Warhawk and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. I just think that BluRay is the go between DVD and the next technology.
Would I be considered superficial if I simply just wanted the "lastest and greatest" even though my 60 GIG 360 is in perfect working order? I can't get over how awesome the new 360 looks and since all of my other components are Black, this would complete everything. Gamestop has a pretty sweet trade in deal and with all of my stuff, Id be paying less than $100 for a new 360. I dont know, Im on the fence of whether I really need the new model.
No offense to the TC, but who doesn't have a LCD or Plasma HDTV by now? They are on sale all the time and during the holidays, you can get awesome deals. I bought my 42" Panasonic Viera 720p Plasma last December for $479. Heck you can buy a LCD HD monitor for your PC for under $250. Id just suck it up and get one. As far as the HDD goes, again you can get a 20 GIG HDD for like $50 I think !!
OK, while I am impressed with the overall look of the new 360, I have to question a couple of things. First, as sleek as the system is, why in the world are we still using a disc tray instead of a slot load mechanism? Also, why no BluRay?
I see no reason for me as a current 360 owner to buy a new 360 simply because of a design revision. Its not like the new one has better graphical capabilities or whatever. I own a 60 gig and with all of the demos, games on demand and videos i have on it, I still have over 25 gig of space. I dont keep game saves once i have either beaten or am just done with a game. Now that being said, if they come out with a new 360/Kinect bundle for lets say $399, I might buy into that!
OK, but where are the new games? Where is PDZ 2? How about something completely new? Paying Billions for a dev to rehash old franchises is not what MS had in mind Imo!!!
Ill take my iTouch anyday. If Im on vacation, in an airport, sitting on the counch or working out, it gives me everything I want. Granted, as a Verizon wireless customer, I cant really utilize the iPhone which I gladly would, so in turn I have a basic Cell phone and an iTouch and have basically the perfect world.
Where exactly is RARE? What are they working on? I have to say that up to now, MS definitely got shafted in that deal. Are they even still with MS or have they gone tha way of the Dodo bird?

Another thread with someone expressing their opinion against another opinion!! Something doesn't sound right about that at all..The reviews are spot on about the game, some people still find Pong fun. Some people find Barbie games fun, but me - I don't. So can we please stop bashing reviewers because you think your opinion supersedes that of all?! I remind you, a reviewer from GameSpot or IGN is a person just like you with dislikes and likes. I don't like Macaroni but my brother does..it's all opinions, and likes and dislikes (they vary sheesh).My point was that after reading several reviews from so called "professional" reviewers, i came away with the sense that they basically said "well, this isnt Madden, so we will just dismiss it"!!!! Imo, BackBreaker should have been reviewed with the thought going in that its not Madden. How is it, that 1000's of readers/forum goers can rate the game on average 2 full points higher than these review sites and mags do? It is obvious that video game football players are liking Backbreaker.
