The day this happens I will stop gaming and move to something else. Atleast I don`t have to be always online to play card games. No way im paying $60 to rent a game like its Netflix or cable-TV service, with the game developers and Microsoft/Sony hanging over my sholder 24/7. How much will this affect you?Dreamcast86

The day this happens you will have a good enough internet connection for it not to bother you. And if you possibly dont there will always be another company providing you with a better option.

The overdramatic title will never help if you want people to take your subject seriously.

First of all, its a fighting game. If you would stay true to the lore you would break the entire game. Comic books themselves are famous for some of the most bullshit explanations for different things so i really dont understand why thats an issue now. If you are a comic book fan, you have probably learnt to deal with it by now.

[QUOTE="c_rake"]

[QUOTE="JustPlainLucas"]I don't quite get why some people state check-pointing as a negative in Ico. I never once thought they were too far apart... idunnodude

It was one of those cases where the platforming was horrible enough that, every time I failed, i just began to resent the game more. Closer check-points would have remedied the excruciatingly slow pace.

this is exactly my problem with dark souls. closer checkpoints or just the ability to save or whatever wouldve made the game SO much more enjoyable for me. you die and then have to run through the same crap over and over it feels like a chore after a while.

Havent played enough of ICO to judge but in Dark Souls it would almost brake the game if you could save at any point, at least for a part of the fanbase the challenge of the game is the only thing that is appealing to them. I would like a save system like that but it would change the way we play very drastically, instead of being patient players could just take chances without really worrying about what would happen.

I feel like the concept of the God of War games really can only be done once and once only. Even if they manage to change the character and a new mythology it would sound so cheesy to have some other character go through the exact same thing as Kratos did. I would love to see another mythology and see some sort of fight between god and evil but the whole "one dude kills everybody" is a one time thing.

I dont really get the complaints, sure if they would start remaking the games i would see the issue but so far with the HD collections ive played some of the best games of all time for the first time. Just the opportunity is worth soooooo much.

[QUOTE="caseypayne69"]I love Batman AC very much and it could be my favorite game of the gen. Last gen being RE4. I just didn't completely like the skinny giddy Joker. I prefer the dark Heath Ledger style, but how could they put those emotions in a game.

Heaths Joker soesnt really fit into the comic book style, i also prefer the darker Joker but this one is perfect for these games.

I enjoy the debate, but one thing both had in common, Mark Hamill as the voice actor for the Joker. His ability to bring this character to life is top notch! Incredible voice acting in both games that truly set the Joker persona to the top of all villians ever in gaming history. I just hope he'll come back for a third run. Rumor has it no, but we can all hope.

Gamr2723

Considering the games ending and somethings he said before the game was released ill doubt he will be back. Maybe its time for The Joker to move on, if their is one good thing with the Batman universe is that they can change so many times but remain good through changes.

They should have kept going with the Wii concept and tried to do what they promised years ago. When Nintendo shows us that motion gaming works im convinced at least.

I feel bad for Sony portables. Both really powerful hardware for reasonable price, they just don't seem to get the right games.

locopatho

How can you feel bad for them? They knew going in that this consoles chances of succes were slim at the very best. And even if that console got great games I dont think it would be enough. The casual audience just wont get it and a lot of the hardcore gamers dont really see the point of a portable console. I felt bad for them during PSP era because it feels like that console could have been really big with small touches, but Sony have only themselves to blame when releasing a confusedconsole during a time which soooo many people own Android or iOS devices.

Ive heard that they are doing some interesting things with the story and narrative so im interested, but none the less i just cant pull myself through another shooter really. Just finished Max Payne 3 and i dont think i can take more than one shooter a year really. I know Spec Ops and Max Payne are very different but the gameplay in Spec Ops just doesnt attract me.
