Cardboard rig
Poland Spring cardboard box
6 gig PATA Maxtor hard drive
8mb ATI Rage (AGP)
64mb of PC-100
Pentium II w/stock heatsink duct taped on
Compaq Presario mobo that needs to be replaced (keyboard isn't detected and won't get past the POST screen)
some old crappy AT PSU
lol, love it!!
Sadly, the cardboard rig is no more, at the begining of last summer I aquired an old Dell mobo with a slot 1 Pentium III, which would have been a decent upgrade, however, it was impossible to take the old mobo out and disconnect everything from the PSU without destroying the "case", so I took it apart, and decided not to put it back together until I get a new box but I've been procrastinating.
that cardboard rig can set on fire(also lokks retarded no offense)[QUOTE="New_2_Da_Ro"] Gaming/main rig

no, it can't be set on fire and the cardboard rig is temporalily in pieces until I get a new motherboard that works, I also am upgrading it's CPU to a 600mhz or so Pentium III that I got for free.
My rig specs are as followed though I have no pics as my cam is currently resting at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean after a fishing trip
Motherboard: Asus A8N32-Sli deluxe
Video Card: XFX 7900GT 256meg DDR3
Sound Card: Creative Soundblaster X-FI Platinum
Hard Drive: 2X Western Digital 300gig
C.P.U: AMD Athlon 64 4200 x2 socket 939
Ram: 2 gig corsair kit DDR2-533MHZ

Azteroid
you do realize you can't use DDR2 with socket 939...
What do you think of my rig:
Motherboard (Socket AM2): MSI K9N SLi Platinum (Supports Quad SLI)
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 64-bit (Got £600 stored away for when the more decent socket AM2's come out)
RAM: DDR2 (now 2GB sticks have come out YAY!!!) 2 sets of 2GB (2x1024 sticks) so a total of 4 1GB sticks (the motherboard supports up to 8GB so I got about £400 ready for that)
Graphic Cards: 4 512MB Geforce 7900GTX (Designed by Sparkle and cost £370 each)
Physics Card: 128MB BFG AGEIA Physx (£200)
Sound: Sound Blaster X-FI Elite Pro (£225)
PSU: 1100 Watt designed for Quad SLI computers
Fans: 2 fans ultra quiet and 2500 rpm
LCD: my new 40" Sony widescreen HDTV and of course when that is in use I have a 23" Viewsonic widescreen

[QUOTE="New_2_Da_Ro"]the best PCI card is the Geforce FX5700 I thinkATLReppa770
the best for PCI interface?
yeah, they aren't coming out with anymore PCI interface cards, the ATI Radeon 9550 PCI might also be decent.
