Starcraft II is not a game for everyone. The game can appease to both new players and seasoned veterans. Starcraft is by far the most competitive RTS to ever be made, and is almost perfectly balanced (Brood War, that is). Starcraft II still has some ways to go in its balancing, but they have done a pretty good job. While not everyone plays hardcore or enjoys fast paced games with tough decision making that must be done in mere moments to decide the fate of the game, many of us do. Starcraft requires more practice to master than any other RTS, because you can never really predict your enemy. It's not only about having the right strategy, but being able to adapt in the middle of a game to conquer your enemy, while maintaining map control, macroing properly, and sometimes having good control of your units in any battle to maximize their potential, along with harassing your enemies economy to gain that slight edge. It's a very cut and dry game but can become extremely complex and difficult on high levels. It's not for everyone, but there is always the epic campaign and custom maps even if you are not interested in competitive play, and even 3v3/4v4 modes are fun and suited for casual players.

I recently acquired a very classy sound card and the Logitech X-540 5.1 speaker system. I'm wondering; what are some games with absolutelyamazingsound quality for this type of setup? Please give me your recommendations.
Laptop, netbook, whatever. I want it for playing light games (Starcraft 2 - doesn't matter what settings except for resolution) at decent frames, and doing media work. Nothing heavy like video editing, mostly just some Photoshop here and there. A good HDD size is optimal. A price of 0-1000$ is about max. I don't want anything large. I was looking into the M11x but could use some other recommendations. Thanks.
[QUOTE="darkfox101"]When does the beta end?illmatic87May 17 apparently Rumored. Not confirmed by Blizzard.
I have to ask how long you had played/how long you've been playing Guild Wars. Because I've been playing it since it came out, and there are hundreds upon thousands of effective builds that are altogether very creative and complementary in Guild Wars. In fact, this is one of my favorite things about the game. There never really was a 'set' build that everybody always used. For short periods of time, yes, but there is class exclusivity and a necessity for teammates to work together, and not only that, but there always has been a nerf for overpowered builds, like the old Ursan for PvE. I encourage you to rethink your mindset. That being said, it felt extraordinarily unbalanced for anyone trying to being creative (as with most MMOs).

[QUOTE="NewbAmoeba"][QUOTE="gohan2710"] I dislike that the ping shown in the server browser is completely off. DanielDustIts not. This is an issue on your end. Why? how do you know that, really I want to know. The ping is extremely off, a 63 ping in the browser still is a 170 one in game, no not for me, for the whole server, on absolutely any server I played, I never saw people with a ping lower than 120 lately and those were like 3 or 4 in about 6 hours of game time. It actually worked in the beta, how they failed so hard with the full game...no idea. By saying the ping is "completely off" it makes more reference to "its not showing up".. which was also a recent problem, and may still be. As far as I know, if I were to say something is off, it would not be there rather than being inaccurate. But now that I understand the way that sentence was used, I agree.
