Well in regards to all systems there are a few titles out there that I think are going to make 09 pretty sweet actually but it's all about what you're into I suppose. For me, PC: Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, Warhammer 40k 2, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 (maybe, if it comes out this year), and if you count it as a new release.. WoW will have some better content patches if you play this year so I am looking forward to that. For PS3: Killzone 2, God of War 3, and even though it's on XBOX too I'll be getting it for PS3.. Final Fantasy 13. XBOX: Prototype, Halo Wars, Halo ODST, Resident Evil 5, Star Ocean, GTA 4: Lost and the Damned, Street Fighter 4, and God Father 2 (if it comes out this year). Anyways, considering we're only 4 days into the new year.. I am interested in what else there is that has not yet been announced. Like there is going to be a new Assassin's Creed set during the French Revolution. Rumors of a new Metal Gear game are going around, a new unnamed MMO is being developed by Blizzard that is not WoW so that'll be interesting to hear about, possible sequal to Dead Space? etc. Ya know a lot of the good games that came out in 08 weren't necessarily known 4 days into 08. Many were announced at E3. I can't remember if there is going to be an E3 this year or not but there are still other events that the game companies can accounce their new titles at. So let's just be patient. Some people have speculated, not me but some people, that 09 could be bigger than 08 for gaming. Lastly, if you think 08 sucked for gaming.. what year would you consider to have been a good year if not 08? lol. More people are playing video games than ever before and they're rapidly becoming mainstream.

Yeah, that just kinda hit me that Sony owns Guerilla so it won't happen. I guess it's some kinda misprint on gameinformer's part. It would not be the first time either. I think I saw once them saying Halo was going to be on the PS3 lol.

wow that crysostasis video was pretty. That's some pretty sweet effects with the water. I wonder when we will see a gaming engine where water will also have density. Call me a geek but I was curious as to when we might have to use water, in the way in actually works in the real world, to solve puzzles and junk in games. For instance, there is a stream and you have to like actually use objects in real time to block it off and divert the water to somewhere else and maybe get it to pour into something and thus the weight from the water would cause something to happen. Maybe a door opens or w/e. Sorta how like some of the Half Life 2 puzzles worked where you would have to use the physics of the game to solve things.

Hi everyone, before I get flamed I just wanna say I could really care less. I own all the systems including a nice gaming PC so if Killzone 2 was a PS3 only game I would get it and if it's on all 3 I'll still get it. I am not a fanboy of any console, I just am a gamer that is not interested in the "my system is better than your's" bullcrap. They're all awesome gaming systems in their own right and there are still a few exclusives out for each that to me, make each system at least worth a look. Anyways... I subscribe to a magazine called GAMEINFORMER and this month's issue had an article on Killzone 2 and on the portion where it says "Plantform game is being released on" it said "Playstation 3, XBOX 360, and PC." This came as quite a shock to me because PS3 fans have been rubbing that in everyone's faces forever because it was supposed to be an excluse. Killzone is to Playstation like what Halo or Gears of War is to XBOX owners. Anyways it just sorta shocked me and I was wondering if anyone knew anything regarding that and could, respectfully, reply. I am curious as to if that is bogus or not. Thank you and Merry Christmas everyone.

LO bored me for some reason and couldn't bring myself to get into the story but I liked the fast paced real time action of Tales.

Technically the 360 has more 3rd person tactical shooters than the PS3 does. Even the new soccom which is a purely online game got very mediocre reviews while Gears 2 got very good ones.

I think people have different ideas of fun. Like for instance, I cannot stand the madden games. To me, everyone purchasing the new madden every year are getting ripped off cuz they are essentially buying the same game every year and pay $65 for a few minor changes like "OMG HOT ROUTES!" or w/e. I can't stand it but I can totally see there being a market for that cuz some people just need their "madden fix" kinda how some people are just addicted to Warcraft or Call of Duty 4. If everyone had the same idea of fun than we prolly would not have multiple genres of games. I agree though that fun has evolved from what it was to video games 20 years ago. Most people are not going to be glued to a game like PONG for 8 hours+ a day like they would playing Gears of War 2, GTA 4, Madden, COD, or Fallout. Technology evolves and so expectations evolve. Games are quickly getting the production values of big budget hollywood movies and are becoming very mainstream very fast. If you don't believe ANY game that has come out even in the last like 3 months with all the monster releases was fun. Well, maybe you are not meant to be a gamer anymore cuz I garentee you.. games like Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 2, etc. are the standard for excellence in today's gaming business. If not of those titles attract your attention than yeah you really do need another time waster :-P
