theres nothing you can really do to stop the kind of bugs ps3 currently has. its just not built to last since they knocked down the production cost. the main thing to watch for is it ranodmly not reading discs, atleast sonys nice n quick to replace ps3s with these kinds of problems though.
same thing happend to me a couple of weeks ago, thankfully it within my reutrn policy... got a new one np. there used to be only a 1% failure rate, but then they reduced cost and ps3s fail alot now...
Beware~~ ps3 cod4 is in a SERIOUS team kill phase in hardcore matches... about half the games have team killers -_-... i have a list of like 100 team killers... iunno how xbox is with that.. but when your not being team killed the community is phenomenal.
Well, just to get facts straight, PS3 isn't unbreakable either =P. My first PS3 broke after 2 weeks of owning it, treated it perfect etc, just stopped reading discs. The older models have a 1% failure rate i hear, but the newer models break easier they say, due to the cost reduction in manufacturing. Don't get me wrong lol, i love ps3, just giving you both sides. Mine was replaced NP though, and since then this ones worked like a charm. I havn't even turned it off hardly.. Its been about 2 weeks since ive had new one lol. I've had it Folding@Home almost since ive gotten it when im not playing games no problems so far.
